This is pathetic... how can you possibly put something like that up on the internet when it is supposed to be a huge event. All they have to do is setup one decent camera to still that shows the entire table.

Please someone who knows what they are doing, walk over to the streaming table, slap whoever is in charge of it and fix it! We are missing some of the greatest players in the world because we are puking our guts out watching this. Horrible focus and the camera keeps moving to follow the balls, which it doesn't even do that. Feels like i'm going to have epileptic attack :mad::mad::mad:

Not to mention the glare off the balls that no one sees i guess.

88 entrants in 1P- GONNA HAVE TO DIG DEEP SOMEWHERE TO to come up w that 25K first prize.
 
Honestly... They didn't have to stream be happy they are making an attempt IMO. They could charge us to watch this event, and they are not! It's free, are you that upset about it? Offer to do it next time then IMO. They are doing what they can with short notice. Yes I am very unhappy with the streaming and it could be a hell of a lot better, but they are atleast trying. They cancelled the people that were suppose to be doing the cameras and recording of the event I heard no idea why. I am sure they also have a lot of other things to do as well rather then worry about the free streaming.

But really, I'm happy we can watch what we can. So what if it looks like Cloverfield!

Streaming

We probably wouldn't even notice how bad it is if we were not spoiled by AZBTV and BigTruck, Lenny and Tar. They should have went with the guys that know Pool.
 
99% of the time I don't pile on criticism, but the two streams I have done were much better than this one. The camera is crooked, no audio and blurry.

Come on guys this was supposed to be a huge tournament.:mad:

They didn't even show the first break from JP. They focused on the cue ball behind the head string!!

I had to turn it off..... rather watch Michigan vs. Notre Dame

I am watching Michigan vs. Notre Dame and watching bigtruck at the same time.
 
The last match was much better, I have no clue why
it so fuzzy though. I even put on my reading glasses
and got two inches to the big monitor we have and it
still looked like it had a frosting to the balls.

But it is way better then the first match where the camera
man had ants in his pants and a bad case of the shakes, LOL.

omy Tar and all the rest have spoiled us, or have they
just taken it to where everyone should be?

I would have paid for a stream, but even at free the corner pockets are cut off and that is unacceptable.

People always say well it's free don't complain. How about don't even put on a product for free if it's sub par or just plain awful.

Has anyone ever had a problem with their computer running slower than normal when they are watching a bad stream.

Mine was. I shut the feed off, it is a joke. For a tournament of this magnitude and all the hype put into it the feed sure does give me a turnoff. I sure wish I was there though.:(
 
they chose to offer the stream for free... and they had a financial reason for doing so.

This is supposed to be a "world class" event, and the quality of the stream is absolute junk... by FAR the worst i've ever seen. I can do better with my webcam at home, easily.

All they had to do was test the system before turning it on... they obviously did not do that at all.

I'm pissed because they are ruining the most major public broadcast of this to viewers... this is supposed to be huge and their stream is a reflection of the event.

There is absolutely no excuse for it.

I mean, it's a slap in the face to all those world class talents playing. You have Efren vs. Parica and you can't even watch the match! It's a pure outrage.

Don't give me this "it's free, so don't complain" bs... the stream is intended for fans and serves a purpose to further promote this and future events. They have failed at that goal miserably so far.

I haven't watched any of the stream from Galveston but I have seen streams from the company that was going to be streaming this event before they called it off and I can say that I've never been disappointed with their streams and there was never a thread made like this in regards to the job they do.

I have to agree with the others that say if you can't do it right, then don't do it all, free or not.
 
I was busy all day trying to imitate a poolplayer, but I heard a lot about the mediocre production. The crew obviously needs some good direction. They are novices at televising pool. If they asked me I'd help them, but nobody asked.
