Joey A's Dinner Donation

I have no idea if you have some previous problem with watchez. I do not want to create any angst or have any personal reason to attack you.

I have never and dont have a problem with JoeyA. I can't remember the last time I commented on one of his posts. Guess he hates me from a far.

It, again, was a simple question which has turned into a confusing one due to the change in his answer. Oh well.

Just curious what JoeyA chose from Fast Lenny's options....

A. A nice dinner with Mrs. A

B. A cheap dinner with Mrs. A & gambling on one pocket. (with results, including results with Mrs. A. if a cheap dinner was chosen )

I'm waiting for the little lady to cool off a bit before I spring the great surprise on her. :o (I did stay away a long time) But just for the record, I'm going all in on the very nice dinner with Mrs. A.

Oh, jeeze, I just realized, I still have to download the "dinner ticket".

THANK YOU, to each and everyperson who have really made my day. I could never expect such kindness from anyone. The fact that I haven't met some of you in person and the fact that we don't see many of you in person on a regular basis makes this marvelous technology and medium a way for us to show our humanity to one another. Some say that technology, cell phones, the Internet, email etc are destroying relationships but this is definitely one way that it is building them.

The generous comments on the job that me and my fellow commentators did is the highlight of my efforts. I would love to thank each of you in person but that might take years to do, so I will just say here and now that your appreciation for our effort will never be far from my heart. It is my intention to contact each of my fellow commentators and express your thoughts about their investment of their time (their most valuable commodity) with you and I.

At the tournaments I often barely have a moment to say hi to new and old friends and then I am off to another labor of love. I hope those of you whom I have been brief with will understand and will allow me to catch up at a later date.

I'll probably spring the big surprise on the little lady in a week or so. She cools down slow.

What a world! What great friends and family!

That made me laugh and remember.

Is your wife Portugese by chance? Mine --was (she's still Portugese). We've been divorced 25 years. Her pet name for me was A-hl and still is.

But making up after cool down was always nice. After I said I was SORRY FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T DO. (yeah right)

From your previous descriptions she sounds like a keeper.

Take care. Good job in Galveston.

for the record -I am not an A-hl -all the time

GabesMom & the rest of you too kind people,
I have been thinking about where to take my wife for our AZ Dinner and I thought about Brennan's Restaurant and Commander's Palace and K'Paul's, Morton's Steak House but my mind has wrapped itself around a restaurant called Le Parvenu in Kenner, LA.

It is a restaurant owned by a former pool player and chef by the name of Dennis Huttley. Dennis was the head chef for a five star hotel in New Orleans before opening up this restaurant. His food is always excellent and it is in a comfortable house setting but with all of the amenities for fine dining. My wife "Candy" likes to eat there and it has been a long time since we have visited. I always forget to call in for reservations for anniversaries and holidays and they are always booked but I will make reservations and keep you posted.

It is the closest she gets to pool related subjects, other than me. VBG Anyway, that's all for now. I'll provide a report when we make the trip in a week or so.

Thanks again! You all are the best!

excellent obsevation

Joey, I enjoyed your work.

I dont personally care who got paid what or whatever. I am happy to see money being spent in the sport i love and I am happy to see ANYONE promote it regardless fo intentions.

This IS a Pool Forum so does it really matter whether someone was paid to talk well about it or did it on their own?

Not having met Joey I can not say with certainty, but I judge on my own that he is a valuable member to these forums, because he takes the time to post personal experiences and share knoweldge with others.

We need more like him.... We also need more like me (lurkers)... People who read and think on something before typing.

This is a thank you thread, so I am here to do just that, say THANK YOU.

JoeyA did an excellent job in the booth, he was very good not only with keeping the commentary flowing, but he also made it a very educational and entertaining production. He not only deserves to be paid for his contributions, he should also be recognized for his prospective to promote the game we love.

Joey didn't make any slighting remarks, he handled his position with class and did everything in a dignified way.

Taylor Road Productions, and JoeyA should be recognized not only for supporting our sport, but also for taking the extra step.

If we all put the love and effort in our sport like Joey did, can you imagine how much further down the road we would be?

Thanks Joey,
Bill Incardona

Joey,

Have you ever eaten at NOLA's in New Orleans? Not even sure if it's still there but my wife & I had a great meal there about 5 years ago. Enjoy dinner wherever you end up.

Billy,
Your presence in the booth sent me over the moon. You were simply "AWESOME" and an inspiration for me to continue making improvements to my developing style.

Thanks for the very nice comments. It is my hope to share a booth with you "down the road".
