Several months ago I found myself sitting on Dieckmans front porch. As the day went on, of course we talked cues. I told Dennis although I appreciate fine detail and workmanship, I'm not one for flashy cues. What if you made a cue that from 10 feet looked only like a piece of blond wood with a joint, but if you put it in your hand you'd find something entirely different. How about an all natural color curly on birdseye butterfly. Nothing but a glue line between the two. He just sat there and gave me that look then says that would be weird. Thats just weird enough to make a couple. Think I'll do it. Cool, while you're at it Dennis make them 14oz please.

Here they are. Haven't hit a ball yet but I'll tell you they ring like a bell.

Thanks Dennis Awesome Work!!!

Wow. Never even thought of that before.
Thats what Dennis said. Wish I was a better photographer. They're both beautiful. I had them leaning against a chair while I set up for the photo shoot. Looked at them from across the room and Dennis did that perfect too. Plain Jane Maple Cue.

I won't know the exact weight till the shafts come in. I'll be using my other shafts. But I'm sure there gonna come in @ 14oz +- a few grams.

Yes sir Billiardshot on Dieckmans style.

Here's my first Magik Wand along with some other awesome designs.
4th from the left. I think originally made for Eddie Robbin but I got there first I suppose.

You must of brought it 2006 . Because I have Bid on the Eddie Robin and Mazin Shooni Cue, But been a friend couldn't take advance of the price he offer for both. And it was the time frame he was involve with the golf course. What will be the shaft spec?

I'm also a fan of plain looking and light weight cues. I went with a Viking G-8, 17.75 ozs. With my Z-2's closer to 17.5. Nothing near the quality of what you have there. Mr. Dieckman is a fine craftsman like my father with wood. He was a cabinet maker by trade and his name was Art.

I hear Dieckman Got 12 pool cues ready and a few in progress. He could have a nice price around this time . We like to call them Gas or Road Cue . Give him a call 1-734-428-1161. But don't mention The Mole or Rat F%cker then you might get crappy price.

3Kushin Did you pick out your shafts from his river of wood or did you leave that for Dennis to decide.
The Robin and Shooni Cue Have their name on the cue and I added some info about the cue picture

Billiardshot

The shafts are coming out of a secret stash from a secure location. I don't have the clearance level to enter that area so Dennis picked them. All were set aside years ago - ultra light shafts.

I think a few of these cues below are still available for someone who wants a Dieckman Right Now.

I have the 2nd cue in from the left, and it is a beautiful cue, and it plays great. I have actually had strangers stop me and ask about the cue, from several tables away... Dennis definitely does some amazing work, if you are fortunate enough to possess one of these cues you will definitely be pleased.

That mean matching in weight and in growth. It should be time for him to update his website. Jamison use my Dieckman Pool Cue, shot twice, the gave it back saying it was too nice to be in his hand. But I cannot tell you how Neu punished My Dieckman Masse and Carom Cue. A course all I did was miss with them.

I believe people would be surprise how sweet his Ultralights play. Are you going strictly Carom taper or his combine billiard/pool taper - 2 or 4 shafts?

Forgot to answer on the taper. Maybe its what you describe as the combo pool/carom. It's definitely a modified European/cone. A teeny touch of whip. Don't pocket balls much so ??? the pool part.

Just got back from an hour test drive. The court is still out. They both feel so close and sooooo good I may end up flipping a coin when the time comes. Eany Meany Miny Mo

I think he already knows the one I'll pick. He did throw a curve at me on the design.

3kushin maybe its this taper:

Dieckman Universal Shaft Taper
The taper of the shafts I play with is essentially The Larry ["Boston Shorty"] Johnson Taper. Besides myself, Mazin Shooni, Frank Torres, Bill Maloney and a few others whose names you would not recognize also play with this shaft taper, in all games.

The shaft taper on these cues thus is not as strong as the pure conic European or Straight Taper, as these shafts in fact have a slight POOL Taper on them. More about his taper and the eddie robin and other cues you posted can be seen here http://www.cuemaker.com/ninemine604.htm

As for your cue check the pictures to see which one I pick, but after this post http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=162284 I probably won't see another Dieckman Butt. So That mean you will become number one Son, as Charlie Chan would say

Dieckman rules. One of the greatest builders.

Love that idea. It sure is different.

Wish I was a better photographer. The pictures don't do them justice.

I think he was having some fun with this project. On one side of the ring work is his standard 4 Butterfly points, on the other side are 4 razor sharp points. All of the wood seems to move. When I first looked the first one, it looked like one of the butterfly points was flat, like it broke off or something. Then I change the angle and it's absolutely perfect. Must be 1 micron thick and you can actually see through it. The curly has such depth it looks like its been machined and filled with glass and the grain just moves all over the place.

The double ring cue has a double super secret internal feature and the single ring is a hybrid. I've played with both for about 6 hours and still can't decide.

Billiardshot, the one you picked is the one I'm supposed to pick. Its the lightest of the two, but as DD expected I can't tell the difference. At least not yet except for weight. The shafts will be the Melloy taper and what I've been using.
