Mitch Ellerman Ripped Off at Galveston Tournament

At this point everything that could be said has been said 8 different ways.

The only thing left is for Bobby and Mitch to deal with this between themselves. If Mitch decides to not contact Bobby or anyone else and deal with the situation I cannot imagine what Bobby or anyone else can do at this point. If Mitch lets this go then it is most definately gone and we can all talk about it for the next ten years and nothing will change. I would find out what happened to my furniture, but I would have been doing that months ago and it would have never gotten to this point.

Fast Lenny and all the others that are trying to help, you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink. Mitch does not seem THAT interested in getting this resolved and it would seem he never was. he is the only guy who can actually take action and do something, and if he refuses to do so then this is a dead issue.

He tried, he failed, he gave up. That about summarizes it. Mitch has other issues to deal with now that are more immediate. Bottom line - He won a raffle and got zero! End of story.

The delivery part should have been stated, I have said it numerous times as they knew it most likely would be won by someone out of state. I know some say it should have been delivered and some think its on the winner to get it shipped but either way it would make sense to let people know when you announce the raffle along with any other stipulations.

As for bashing Galveston, I enjoyed watching it and wished it the best success to be honest. Events like DCC are tough to come by, hope it grows and gets better. I am not blaming Mr. Rone but one thing I know is he could help resolve the matter most certainly. Mitch deserves to get the furniture shipped to him and if he cant afford to I will be happy to start it off with a $100 to get it going, if not he should get something even if its just 25% of the value.

Lets just sit back and see what happens if anything, either way Mitch deserves something since he won and its obvious someone got the furniture whether they paid for it or not.

What i will tell you sir is that mitch ellerman is a fine young man who i'm glad to know. He has some real issues in his life right now and the last thing he has time for is a hassle like this. He does not have the wherewithal to fight you for what is rightfully his. So you booked a winner on this one. I think you know exactly what happened to that furniture and are a willing accomplice in all this. There is more to this story then what you're telling us on here.

I actually liked your tournament, but based on what happened to mitch i won't be coming back if you have it for the next ten years!

jay you are a joke ! I am not the goverment i can and will not force something down your throat that you will not work for.. Maybe "friends" like you and lenny are the problem.. Lets get back to the real world.. I did not run the raffle i found out about this when items were left at moody..do you think that we "taylor road" would rip off anybody for 1 or 2 or 3 thousand dollars, after the money that was paid out. I have read your posting on az since gwc was in the making, you are the most negetive person on az ! Well could be at least 3 more off top of my head, you and others need to get a life or maybe this is your life, knocking people down that are trying to do something not only good for pool but great for pool... This is why i never posted on az before because no matter what nobody wins, and the people that are trying to do good just gets knocks down time and time again.. So you can do your 3 or 4 way phone call with your friends...before you get back on az.... I will not say any more about this, this has went to long with people like you that do not have a clue or the facts..about anything "raffle" "gwc"

what are Mitch's options at this point? Can he still get the furniture or a cash amount? where is the furniture at this point and has it been used?

why would you ask that 3 months in to this.. I would think it was used by now, you got your money, why, because it was the right thing to do. These people still owe me the money that you and i talk about so why would you comment on this ?

I'm just asking what Mitch's options are at this point. I comment on this because this is something I was directly involved in. Not so much Mitch's end but part of the raffle.

I did get my money and I did post that on here that my end of the furniture raffle was taken care of and I got what was promised to me before I left Texas.

This is a forum where people discuss things.

I agree but raffles, this is a forum for the great game of pool, not raffle tickets.. COME ON YOU PEOPLE THINK THAT MITCH CAN NOT TYPE OR DIAL A PHONE...

Since you don't have a warehouse, was the furniture stored in your house?

And since you state that you had nothing to do with the raffle, why are you even responding to this thread? Maybe the person with Taylor Road that was involved with the raffle should be the one responding. Or, should you correct your words that indeed you did have something to do with the raffle.

Also, can you answer who the 'someone' was that came and picked up the furniture and who you handed over Mitch's prize?

I know a lot of pool players were very happy to attend the Galveston World Classic, as was I. There seemed to be a lot of spectators that enjoyed it as well. The numbers of viewers on the Live Stream has been unmatched before or since. Live-Streaming is still in its infancy and has plenty room for improvement.

Many of us look forward to seeing Taylor Road Production continue in the world of pool promotion.

In spite of some rough spots, your first effort was SPECTACULAR.

Well, what I want to know is why Bobby Rone wasn't here A LONG TIME AGO to talk up his tournament. I know Joey did his best, but good grief, Bobby, this is the place to drum up support and you blew it off. What's with that!?

This is the best you can do to defend your part in holding the raffle? Jump all over me for sticking up for Mitch? So you think Mitch should have had "to work" to get his furniture. Pretty telling statement there Bobby.

I seriously doubt that you do read this forum. If you had, you would have seen me commending you and Taylor Road on the Galveston World Classic. But that isn't the point here. Bobby, you produced the event, including the raffle. You had a responsibility to see that things were handled fairly. You can flail at me all you want and that doesn't change anything.

One last thing Mr. Rone. I've run a few tournaments too and we've had raffles for heavy objects like pool tables. I made certain that the winner got his prize. And NOT ONCE did they ever have to pay for shipping!
