The pressed rings in the leather wrap have been a standard decoration in leather since leather has been used by man. Gine has used more than most makers but he is not the only maker to have used it. That is how imprinted leather is made.

I just spoke with the owner of this cue...
Nice guy by the way, the wrap was installed by Ernie...

Good to know. I watched Ernie put this wrap on.

Thanks

That might be so, but I have only seen those pressed rings done by Ernie, and I've seen a lot of cues. Pete Tascarella definately does not do the pressed rings in any of his leather wraps. That is why my first thought was Ernie.

Either way, it's a great cue and I wish you the best of luck with the sale.

i think paul is trying to say that while it is a wrap done by ernie, the "rings" in the wrap are not exclusive only to him. many people would identify that as a ginacue wrap because of those rings but paul is trying to bring up the point that the rings should not be the determining factor when trying to figure out who did the wrap since those rings are not exclusive to ernie.

everyone knows ernie uses those rings but i've seen them on other cues too. i forgot who the cuemakers were but i remember seeing them. i've also seen some with just a single ring as well.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttt

Wow, This is a really nice cue !!!

These Tascarella's are Great Players...

And, the wrap looks to be perfect !!!

Good Luck with your sale, Mr. Ronin.

I've seen Ed Prewitt do the same rings on his leather wraps.
