I didn't even get a thanks for digging those up, lol. j/k.

anyway, let me dig up the "story" to go with them... It seemed there were many who had seen these and understood them & would explain. Bunch of people sounded interested, but I heard hardly a peep after I posted these.

If no one else jumps in and "explains" these images, I will dig some more and get the story.

Right now, I need coffee.

I didn't see them until this morning. Thanks for posting the diagrams. It's people like you, helpful to others, that makes this forum a goldmine of information. So, have your coffee, do some more research, and post your findings. We're grateful and you get a greenie.

Your Legendary Mystic Skills "Master Googler" as an information tracker are second to none. Most impressive!!!

ROLFMAO. lul'z. That's Net-i-master to you. All hail the mighty googles!!! The truth is out there (insert X-files theme music here). PM sent for documents, will post for you.

I know the diagrams that you are speaking of and I also remember they were FREE. Some guy that was putting up the web site for Jimmy had some kind of hard on for him and when he took the site down they never appeared again. I printed them off and took them every where I went so if I was in a waiting room or where ever I could review them any time I wanted. I was so impressed with what Jimmy was doing for FREE that I bought his box set of DVD (the old ones (they were new at the time)). Unfortunately those diagrams were not on the DVD's atleast not the older version of the DVD's that he produced. PM your email address and I will convert the copies to a PDF and email them to you....they are worth there weight in gold. I do not think that we are violating anything by giving away something that he gave away for free and if you don't own his DVD's you are really missing out on something. I always swore that if I ever won a Major tournament the first person I would thank was God and the second would be Jimmy because they both have done so much for my game.

Those diagrams were orginally in Jimmy's Members area, which you did have to pay for to get in. If Jimmy has a members area on his new website, they are probably there.

I saw this system years ago, I think on Jimmy's free site and learned it. Then when I went back later to restudy it was gone. I was never a member of his paid site.

I've just copied from the Inside Pool link to a Word doc file. If anyone wants, send me a PM and I will return to you.

A few years ago, I found his system that was printable with diagrams. Someone absconded with it and I cannot find the original site. Anyone know the address, it is about 10 pages of diagrams. The new site does not have a printable version that I can find. thanks
Without a detailed explanation of technique, corrections and problems you are certain to run into, the diagrams themselves are worth very little. The best detailed explanations of diamond systems I know of are in Robert Byrne's books. Eddie Robin also has a very good discussion in Winning One Pocket, pages 165-213, but the book is a little pricey.

The corner-five -- which is what Diagram 3 above is about -- has been around at least since 1930 when the "Seattle Kid" figured out his allowances which tells you how to more accurately predict where the cue ball will hit the fourth cushion, in case you need to get all the way back to the end of the table you're starting from. You cannot learn this system from just diagrams.

If you really get into diamond systems, you may want to get Walt Harris's books -- he seems to have a system for every occasion.

Those look like some of them. The originals were prefaced with the story of how he learned the system. From an old sailor on the docks??

I have it somewhere in my pool Mags. It would of been within the last three years I think, and it was Inside Pool...

I'll take a look for it when I get a chance. it does work great, Jimmy is a great teacher...

Bob's book is an excellent resource. Learning the Corner 5 numbering is only modestly useful unless you're able to understand the necessary adjustments. Harris is a walking system library!

I was a paid member of Jimmy's original site & I bought cd's from him that contain all the diamond systems' diagrams, explanations, etc, that he had posted in the Members' section before the big crash.
I have 2 copies, but I would never sell either. Maybe Jimmy still sells copies of them. Or someone can feel free to let Jimmy know I still have them, give him my AZ contact info (or get with me w/ his contact info), and I'd send one to him so he can make them available again.
I won't in any way be a party to taking food off Jimmy's table.

We're really fortunate to have Dave & Bob available & always willing to offer their insights. Thank you both for your efforts.

Jimmy Reid Site issue

Two days ago I tried to sign up as a member($14.95/6 months). The site would not allow me to scroll down enough to 'submit'/purchase.

I bot his 'Almost everything I know" DVD set about a year ago from the site.

Anybody have a similar problem?

Thanks for any info.

There is a series of threads on kicking by forum member DeadAim. They are titled "Kicking Academy".

He signs them "J.R."

He seems very knowledgeable. I wonder if DeadAim is Jimmy Reid.

I have all the Byrne's books and videos...

They are great!

In addition, to Bob Jewett's suggestions; I would recommend the Monk Kicking & Banking Series 1-3 with Tom "Dr. Cue" Rossman...

Also Dr. Cue's Rack up a victory 2nd volume goes into systems pretty good as well...

Any of Eddie Robin's books are great if you can find them and or afford them...
