Jennifer Barretta on MTV?

What if the kids that watch this crap come to your local pool hall and try to imitate what they have seen on MTV?????????

Will this be good for the pool room or possibly the seriuos player trying to play on the table next to them????????

Kevin

the kids would soon be on the floor moaning in pain. it would be over in 5 minutes or less, and something to tell the wife and kids about when you get home.

It's a funny show...and the intent behind the show is to get people to make noise in a library.

It was Jennifer Barretta...it was about 15 second clip...and the guys she was shooting at were well protected.

This isn't bad for pool people...it's just a funny silly show. And I think Jeanette would have been happy to do it if she still lived in NY and they'd have contacted her.

The SNL skit was seen by far more people, it was a much longer skit...and it isn't "bad for pool" either. It was quite funny...and it get's funnier each time I see it.

Let's stop taking everything so seriously. Jennifer doesn't deserve any backlash for taking part in a Jackass-type stunt. I'm happy that she doesn't take herself too seriously...that she is willing to get down and have a little fun. If it was possible that these men would be seriously hurt...that is a different story.

And if kids go out and attempt to try it...they deserve whatever they get. There isn't a boy alive who doesn't know that getting hit in the nether region is going to hurt. So if they choose to put their parts in harms way...that is their problem. It's called survival of the fittest. And if a guy is willing to put his babymakers on the line...then there may be some sort of ironic justice if he loses them!

Finally a reasonable post!!

1. She is a "professional" pool player.

2. She shot pool balls at dude's nuts.

3. Whoever her agent is should be fired.

4. 'Nuff said.

And I beg to differ with you on Jeanette Lee. I think she is MUCH too "brand conscious" to ever consider doing something as idiotic as this.

Russ

"C" in "C player" must stand for CLOWN.

It's a show for teenagers and the young-at-heart. If you don't get it, that doesn't mean it's a terrible show, it just means that you don't get it. I personally think it's a funny show every now and then, when nothing else is on. It's purely for the sake of fun. If you can't understand that, that is YOUR shortcoming.

1. She is a "professional" pool player. Professional pool players have lives too. A lot of sports celebrities do jackass skits, or comedy skits

2. She shot pool balls at dude's nuts. And probably got paid to do so, cool.

3. Whoever her agent is should be fired. Isn't probably worried about you saying he should be fired

4. 'Nuff said. Yep, you said enough.

Who cares...its just a silly skit/stunt...if you don't like it don't watch it.

Your very first post out of the gate on AZ was how all pool players and especially the gamblers are pond scum. (in a nut shell, not verbatim but I could probably find it if need be)

Your beloved JL has been gambling almost every day, if not every day at the DCC. She also did a photo shoot for some mens magazine where they dressed her up in some pretty trashy clothes and photographed her "hustling" the guys in the pool room. It was meant as light hearted humor and no one had any problem with it. MTV is nothing but light hearted humor (is there anything serious on MTV?). We'll never know for sure but I'm pretty sure JL would have done the bit on MTV.

I bet a whole 5 - 10 people who saw the skit knows she was a pro pool player. Look out...pool is done for.

If they would have had a random hot chic, who couldn't hold a cue, come and perform this stunt, some would probably be whining that her not knowing how to hold a cue made pool players look bad. I think she did a great job. Also, I don't think I want to arm wrestle her...she's got some guns.

You're starting to sound like a soccer mom now..

Lighten up Russ. It's not a show that is meant to promote pool. Have you ever seen the show?? It's nothing but cheap comedy. Some is funny, some is stupid. All she did is make a carom shot, one ball into another. Nothing to get worked up about. And, what's that old expression? Any exposure is better than no exposure??

Besides, if it has ANY impact on pool, it would be a positive one! Think about it.... scores of girls now coming to the pool hall to shoot balls into guys balls. The more girls, the more guys coming! (no pun intended) On the plus side, the guys stupid enough to try that very quickly get weeded out of the gene pool! Leaving more girls for the rest of us! I see nothing but positive coming from that skit!

Stupid guys letting women shoot pool balls into their man balls, thereby removing themselves from the gene pool.

Now that I have reconsidered, this may have positive repercussions for human evolution.

Carry on, ball basher lady, whomever you might be.

Russ

...and the guys she was shooting at were well protected.

What fun is that? "Well protected" means their "reactions" were obviously staged. MTV should have used Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O for that skit. They would have not used any protection. To see a genuine unscripted reaction would have been truly entertaining.

And hey, if she got paid for it, more power to her.

Agreed! Actually, if a guy does lose his babymaking capability because of actually doing this stunt, it can't but help everyone. (think natural selection)

Some of these posts are pretty______________....it was hilarious. I often would like to shoot pool balls break speed into people's nuts when they annoy the hell out of me. Stop being shitty, nitty and actin like a bitty! Cheer up and smile, life's fun....sometimes!

Sorry, but this does nothing but good for her "brand." An entire MTV nation now knows who she is. She's hot, she can shoot, and now they know who she is. That's great for everyone.

One... Ewa and Jennifer look nothing alike.

Two... Some people need to lighten up. How can this POSSIBLY be considered negative publicity?

I have to wonder, how cathartic was this for female pool players all over the universe.

LOL.

Talk about pounding on some balls.
Believe me, protected or not, just the THOUGHT of this happening is painful enough.

I'm glad you're not anyone's agent...there wouldn't be ANY publicity for ANY pool players were that the case.
