Which Whitten Case logo do you prefer?

Their new stylized "W" button is growing one me. I have always been partial to the old school Whitten tag. Which treatment would you prefer?

I don't like either really, but if I had to choose, it would be the one on the left. That's because the tag style logo looks cheap and cheesy. If the tag logo was done to look better (sharper, classier) I would much prefer that as I don't like big, center of view type logos.

Whitten cases are the best. They have the best top handle design and shoulder strap of any case out there.

and yeah the tag looks like a blue jean logo. So the button wins by default
 
Thanks for the opinions. The old tag style is deliberately simple because it is a tribute to the tags from the first Whitten cases. Dan Whitten used a discreet tag (like the blue jeans) to identify his case as a Whitten in the very beginning.

I asked his son Joe to put a similar tag on my modern case. I love to honor the classics.

So, my Whitten case does not have either of these logos. Is it really a Whitten case, and why didn't you include this logo in your question?

Your case is absolutely a Whitten. The company's old identification was the tag and the most current logo is the button with stylized W. Your case was made somewhere in between. I have several cases with the under lid nameplate.

regardless of the logo...after visiting the Whitten site, I'd say if you have a Whitten case, you have a good case...:smile:
 
Whitten Cases

I have one old Whitten with the Levi tag, the others have the logo under the lid.
If I buy a new Whitten case I would prefer the button.

Being a bit of a font nerd, that's what turned me off about the other also. I don't like park avenue much either, it's just overused.

Stylized W button for the [W]in.
 
Of the two you showed, I like the "W" button better.

But this one is by far my favorite logo I've ever seen on a Whitten:

I have one of the "in between" cases too, purchased at the 1991 World 9Ball Championships in Vegas. It's a GREAT case!

BTW, John, I really want to thank you for the nice pic of Bill (Willie Jopling) and his signed brochure. It will hold a treasured place on my wall at home. The SBE just wasn't the same this year without Bill.
