Today many of us are celebrating the risen Christ and that is a truly glorious thing. However Easter was once an older pagan celebration, Spring is in the air! Those of us close to the earth notice new life bursting out in the trees and plants, birds are singing, young bunnies hopping about, love is everywhere.

The air is still cool enough to be pleasant but warm enough that a t-shirt is still plenty to wear while enjoying all of the wonders of Spring. This is indeed the perfect time of year. I am so overwhelmed with the spirit of Easter that I'm going out to the pubs and bars tonight in search of a naive innocent young chicken to pluck.

I love Spring with new suckers everywhere! Happy Easter to all!!

Back at you Hu...I can taste the hard boiled eggs already.As far as spring being in the air I had about 2.5 inch's of spring I need to shovel off the driveway in a few minutes:(. Remember sometimes spring chickens can turn into gnarly gators in that part of the country.:eek:

I echo Hu's Easter sentiments to all, also from a fellow close-to-the-earth type.

Happy Easter, everyone! May the blooms and sprouting forth be an indicator of things to come for everyone!

P.S.: A bar/pub/tavern visit to pluck the petals off a naive "flower" (read: sucker) sounds like just the ticket for this evening! :D
 
I've got green bean sprouts jumping out of the ground like weeds on steroids. :D

Plucking a few petals off of a naive "flower" gurantees that the flower will be around in the summer when things dry up a bit.

That's what I call maintaining the landscape. :wink:
