Maybe you didn't read the responses. I read all the responses Joey. The hustlers and wanna be hustlers clearly believe knocking action is a bad thing. Basically because the pool hall life is you try to rob people when you can get away with. And anybody causing you to lose an opportunity to rob is a bad thing.
Just curious:
Do you gamble at pool? Yes. but not as a lifestyle.
Do you ever gamble at pool with complete strangers for money? No. It seems like a foolhardy endeavor for more than one reason.
Do you think playing for $10 or $20 a game one pocket is a large sum of money? No. But I also think it's a little exaggeration to say you rather lose $200 than win $40 in a cheap long game.
People are on this forum ruminating constantly about why pool has a rotten reputation and can't get any sponsor or media attention. I suggest some of it's because of the pool hall mindset. No one wants to be associated with it.

M Lalum,
You know, I'm starting to develop a profile on you and it's not looking pretty.
You make some nasty insinuations about some of our fine forum members by calling them hustlers and wannabee hustlers simply because many have responded that I should tell the interloper he was wrong for interrupting our game and knowingly or unknowingly knocking my action.
You apparently look down your nose on people who like action and I think it is hipocritical of you to have that perspective and still admit that you gamble at pool.
Furthermore, you misquote me and put your own spin on what I said and while I can take criticism with the best of them, your spinning things isn't appreciated. I said, " I would rather win or lose $100 than to win or lose $40 after playing for two hours or so.",
NOT that I would rather lose $200 than win $40 in a cheap long game.
And as far as you not wanting to play strangers because it is a "foolhardy endeavor", it just goes to show you furthermore as a hipocrite. You admit that you bet on pool on occasion, yet you are scared to play a stranger because it is a "foolhardy endeavor". (More looking down your nose at others who appreciate the risk and fun of gambling.)
I guess you prefer to measure your marks carefully before taking them down.
Anyway, I normally don't waste this much time addressing someone's post but you seem to be painting the forum members who posted in this thread with a wide unruly brush.
I won't have time to play word games with you so don't expect me to invest time in future response posts with you but I wanted to let you know how I view your posts.
