Your cue makes on impact with the CB and what type of cue /tip you play with. Inquiring minds want to know.

If this isn't the damn weirdest request I've ever seen on here, then I don't know what is (no offense). I have to know ... Why do you ask?

Well my pool league team captain says the sound some cues make really bugs him. It got me to thinking if people pay that much attention to the sound their cue makes other than the obvious sounds that a damaged cue stick might make. Past that I can't sleep and I thought it would make for some interesting responses.

Every time my tip hits the cue ball it says to the other opponent:

P - i - N - G !! and echoes~~~~I'm gonna bring my 55 gallon drum o' whoop ass and pur it all over you, buddy!~~~~:p

If a cue tip hits a cue ball and there is no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?

I think mine has lots its mind? Last time I shot with it today it just kept bubbling, not sure what to do I passed it to the left and well sure enough the damn cue bubbled for him. Once it got back to me it put some chalk on it and kept passing it around after a while we forgot about the sound and went for pancakes!

My cue makes a quiet "thud" sound. I have a sniper tip on a predator shaft. I don't like the "ping" sound some cues make.

The sound of my tip contacting the cue ball is the thundering sound of Archangel Gabriel sounding a trumpet calling God's army to battle.

My cue tip is made from the left butt cheek of a Golden Lion Tamarin that has been soaked in the tallow of several endangered species and has then been salt cured. It is wonderful to play with and tastes great! It also has wireless capability enabled through bluetooth technology. Everyone should try one. Your game will go up by at least two balls.

Ahh, post number 11 before somebody seriously answered the OP's question. Ya gotta love the clowns on this site though. It'd be boring as hell on here without them!

FWIW, I screwed my cue together (Jacoby butt, 314/2 shaft, Triangle tip) and hit some balls. The best description I can come with for the sound the hit makes is: TUNK (you've gotta make it sound "chunky" though, heavy accent on the "t", kinda like you were saying it in German).

If the sound a tip makes sets him off, what do you reckon his wife does to him?
What ever the opposite of ka-ching is; that's the sound my tip makes. :p
