Triangle Chalk

Its great chalk but also hard to find chalk holders for it.
What WAS the price (inquiring minds wish to know)? I always buy Masters chalk 'cause I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy the Blue Diamond chalk. I only use a piece of chalk until it gets wore down about halfway. I can't see myself paying $4.00 for a piece of chalk and tossing half of it away (or giving it away). I may have to try out some of the Triangle chalk though, if the price is right.

It's not bad stuff, and I think Muellers sells it for the same price as Masters. I've only ever seen it in green, though, and I'm more of a blue chalk fan.

tweeten owns both mater and triangle brands. kirkenchalf (?) or something used to own the triangle brand. I thought they were the same formulation??? I buy by the gross, 1 of master, 1 of triangle and 1 national, down to the second tier in all three. The national seems to "coat" better. JMHO
That's my understanding, also. I think they are the exact same chalk with different paper wrappings. However, neither of them compare to Blue Diamond. Yeah, it's $5 a cube, but try some, and you'll see why.
I like Triangle chalk, though my favorite is Blue Diamond followed by Masters Green.
I hate the Masters green chalk, the light green chalk, that is. Are you talking about that one or do they also make a dark green? Never tried the dark green.
I'm a fan of Blue Diamond and also like the Russian Magic Chalk. After that it's the Blue Masters
I thought all chalk was square! ... or, cubical (or is it cubicle) ..... damn! wish they had a spell checker!
No, I was talking about the light green stuff. I can tell when I'm finishing my stroke because it leaves nice little marks on the table
It seems Masters offers both "green" and "spruce" but neither appear to be "dark" green.
I prefer the Master than Tranigle!
They are not the same. From the beginning, you might feel they are not much differences, but you (I) can tell when you keep using both the same chalks for a while.
Master, IMHO, grapping the tip a little better than Traingle (more sanded feel).
That could be the reason why these two brands have same price but have huge difference in the level of popularity!

I don't see the price as a problem. Yeah, it is too high, but how long does a single cube of chalk last? It last me a pretty long time. If it just aggravates you that they charge that much for it I can see that, but personally I just figure I like it enough not to worry about that.

I use only BD on my home table. After playing for hours you end up with very little residue on bridge hand. Will worth the money. Less mess makes it the best. Skip:wink:
