thought it could be choir too, depends on context

LOL! Close but no cigar!:groucho:

This job is like a nightmare that keeps getting worse and worse. :o

I thought it could be choir too, depends on context. Maybe I'm wrong on both counts! A Chief of Police enrolled his entire force into a night class for English after reading about a decapitated foot. I guess if you look at it from the foot's point of view . . . .

E becomes long A, S can become Z, you know the drill I'm sure. When you get through with this don't forget to wash the dishes in the zinc.

Do you guys honestly think that you can just go to a casino and get them to give you the tape which purportedly contains video of one guy handing something to another guy without a subpoena???

Lets be 100% real here THAT will NEVER HAPPEN.

When Tiger Products' trailer was stolen the casino WOULD NOT release the footage of the parking lot where it happened.

And as JCIN pointed out even if there was a videotape for all of us to see on Youtube there is a 100% chance that NO ONE ON EARTH can say that the amount of money exchanging hands is $500 or $5000 or $50,000.

David Peat is playing a game. He is extremely lucky that the wrong guys weren't on the other side of this game.

Scott is an idiot.

He is lucky that he didn't get arrested.

Personally, I would never cross a guy named Incardona :-). I am racially profiling on the name and prefer to guess wrong just to be on the safe side.

Ed Deline and Danny McCoy woulda got that tape from the Riv! ;)

The funniest thing I ever typed was about a man who went to visit somebody in prison. This is what I heard and typed:

...I did something better for him. We arranged to send a chauffeur in there and a tape that taught him how to blow the chauffeur and permission from the government to allow him to use the tape and learn how to blow the chauffeur....

I was shocked at what I was hearing about this poor man in prison. :shocked2:
Well, it turned out that the man was practicing his religion and was referring to some horn called a "shofar" -- not a chauffeur. :o

I think I hurt something!

I laughed so hard I think I damaged something. Seems like that there is a Jewish horn they blow at the bar mitzvah. I guess when it's time for the circumcism it's kind of like the call to the post at the race track with the hunting horn . . . . I knew there was a reason I usta spend my Sunday's at the track instead of in church . . .

Hu(really does know almost nothing about religion but I don't mind winging it!)

Regardless of what some people think, not posting does not deserve to get stiffed. not always wise but it is not an excuse to stiff someone.

Yeah and as I previously stated (which a few goofs took out of context) the guy had already lost and paid $100K. Just how much cash do you think a guy carries around with him? High stakes gambling is a little different animal. As goofy as he was, he had been considered the best action in the country for a little while there and I never heard of anyone else having trouble getting paid! I know if I had been staking Scott, from the get go and maybe even if I just came in at that point, I would have trusted Dave to pay as he promised. The opportunity in front of them was too much to be overlooked and you had to give Dave the benefit of the doubt that he would do the honorable thing! So it turns out he got stubborn after receiving treatment from Scott that he felt was out of line. He decided to rub it in and torture Scott and who knows if he EVER had any intentions of paying, but after all that's happened, he's dug in his heels and is taking the old "THAT'S MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT" attitude even though he obviously owes the dough. The Tahoe situation is even, in some ways, more of a rotten thing to do.

Scott, Billy and Lenny will be lucky to see a dime of their money now, BUT, I really believe in Karma! And someone who gambles as high as Dippy Dave does, on a regular basis could receive a serious string of that bad karma behind these shenanigans! I wonder if he'll have any regrets when he's sleeping in that Tahoe!

Now that's some really funny shit! I've got a bad back, you're killing me here laughing! But keep it up, gotta go someway, might as well be from laughing! Tried to rep you but it wouldn't let me give ya anymore now!

I will give anyone $5,000 to see a video of the transaction, plus I will give Dippie $10,000 and apologize to him if he can produce it, and this I give everyone my word on.:outtahere:

good luck everyone,

im done with kangaroo court, id offer to gamble with people but im afraid of being robbed.

you know what the sad part is, you guys totally ruin your own sport, you guys condone violence in poolrooms for what ever means.

personally after what has transpired if i was a poolroom owner i would never alow scott in my room again.

and i would call the casino to get a coppy of the tape, but i have nothing to prove i know what happened. but please feel free, it was the day after we played around 230-330 pm. Ill bet 50k if someone gets a coppy of the tape you clearly see me paying scott.

Dave,

Just curious. Do you remember "Stutter Man" from back in your Ohio days?

In a way you remind me of him! Anyone who knows of him will know what I mean!

In these days of Photo Shop and such I'd never make a bet like that. You'll never get a video from the hotel without a subpoena, and it would be easy to stage a "grainy security tape" where the faces look like thumb prints or even Photo Shop Scott's face in. That would be easier to get than a legit one!

billy if i cared what you or scott said or did or if i cared about 10k id get the tape, but here is what i will do, ill give you 50k if you take the time to get the tape of the time i said and you dont see me on there paying scott.

its not worth my time,

Billy, if I were you, I'd be talking to an attorney about seeing if you could get a subpoena for the video, that is if Dave will post the $50k he offered.

Isn't "cur" West Virginian for car?

Diaconate reads like it would probably be deaconette or deaconate neither of which I am sure is even a word but I'd guess the root is deacon.

Ordans is probably ordains

Sursum Corda is probably Sursum Corda(OK I don't have a clue here, drag out a latin dictionary.)

I have a strong feeling you need a consultant from West Virginia or Kentucky! If all else fails I can put you in touch with some super good folks from West Virginia. I don't remember what they sound like since we haven't talked in years but I suspect they understand the dialect. I'm still in internet contact with them.

Hu

Hu, the term diaconate actually refers to the office of deacon, sort of like the "presidency" refers to the office held. never heard of the others though.

Not true....

Yiou are talking video, not stills.

You'd need a Spielburg-Lucas doing some serious computer generation to pull it off. Frame by frame kinda stuff. Photoshop couldn't begin to handle it.

I would think about approaching a security guard from the casino, and see if the tape could be obtained on the side for a generous 'tip'.

Seems that would offer the best chance....

I ran into Dippy dave around 10 years ago at Mothers in charolette,NC.He was betting high playing the top names. That time I never heard anything about stiffing anybody. He paid when he lost.I wanted to play him and I asked him to give me a spot and he said " that is not funny". that is right.I ask for a spot even from my grand ma.that is how I do business some times:cool:

Though it is really no one's business who bet what, from what this and previous posts state, Billy had $22,000 bet, Scott had $22,000 bet and Lenny and his partner had $4,000 bet.

Well, just got back from taking my boys to 7-11 for a free Slurpee (I got one too!) and see my math skills are being challenged:eek:

I knew I got those numbers from somewhere. (OK, I know that doesn't excuse me not figuring out that 22+22+4 x 2 does NOT equal 100.:o. It's 97 right?:p

Back to the issue at hand. To me this has turned into a debate on the morals of disrespect in the form of cheating vs. the morals of stiffing. The gamblers here clearly think that stiffing is the more heinous crime and don't seem that bothered by a little cheating (or pulling moves if you prefer).

DD is using stiffing to teach a lesson about disrespect and cheating.

I think things are right about even now. Scott walked away with more than $30K even after the "repo" of the Tahoe. Not a bad score at the end of the day.

Once again folks, stop using the term "tape".... Someone pointed out that any security video will be recorded digitally on a hard drive, most likely several. To retrieve video from that system will require someone with clearance, and access codes, and the like. Casinos have WAY too much to lose to allow access to their surveillance video to any but a select few. Even getting into the system would be a major accomplishment, getting a copy stored onto removable media and then out of the casino would be James Bond-ish. Certainly not for the limit on expenses to collect a $50K debt.

Dipstick can make offers about paying to produce any such video all he wants, because he knows that it will not ever happen. Another swerve.
