I finally settled on this ring configuration after finding the right thickness of veneers. 16 stitch@ .060" I use this on sneakies, breakers, J/B, and jumpers. Whatcha think?

I like it, kind of a jazzed up version of the old Joss/Tad classic maple blocks. Very nice and thanks for sharing.

In a recent thread I stated that the ring-work is an area where the CM can let his creativity out. Plain Jane becomes Janis with 'bling'.
I'm beginning to think that this Ryan guy has some talent.
Looks good Ryan.

Ring work, in my opinion, can make or break a cue design. I've owned cues that didn't have nice ring work and I didn't keep them very long. You can take a plain jane cue and put it together with nice rings and it looks so much better. I like your new ring design Ryan......

Like these style of rings, especially when all the stacked veneers line up on the cue.

I like it Ryan, and I think I have a name for it, I would call it RatZam ring work as a tribute.

Thanks for sharing Ryan

I love it Ryan. What router bit are you using to cut those thin channels for the thin veneers?

16 is not used much. We have done lots of ring work, doing the j/ps and I do not ever remember doing a 16 . Look thu my j/p gallery and you will find, 24, 20 18 12 , everything but 16. Looks Great Ryan . Thanks For Showing. Jim

Nice detail on the stitch rings... Very smart.

Personally, on the joint, I would like thinner black rings, and a shorter white section. (joint collar)

I think I remember playing with a very early Rat Cue, in Vegas at the VNEA on the Mueller table, maybe back around 2000. I'm sure it was the first year Rat cues were out, or featured in the Mueller catalog anyways. I remember it was a really good solid hitting cue, could have been used for a breaker or a player.

We used to get all our pool gear sent out to Australia from Mueller back then (From Rick).

Cheers - Dave. (Aus).
