when spraying clearcoat,
i discovered the spray gun works MUCHHHHHHHHHHHH better with the air hose attached :thud:
brenster> switching back to CAFFINATED coffee

It also helps when there's clearcoat in that gun.
And I sure hope you have assisted air-breathing apparatus.

Yes, I say!! Thongs, and beer for all my men!

I found out one time that the clear cures much better when you mix the appropriate parts of clear and hardener, not clear and clear!

Oops!

LOL, thats a good one too.
i think we all have done some pretty silly things in the shop
as long as the fingers stay attached though,
it's harmless and something to laugh about later

I can say all of the fingers are still there but the nails get torn pretty often and knuckles busted with the taig headstock.

I've told this one before, but it still makes me laugh. The guy who mentored me super glued his lips together. He was a smoker, and had just put a tip on before he reached for the cig in his mouth. He didn't realize he had glue on his finger. He was hopping mad, and I was rolling on the floor. RIP my friend.

I find the same holds true with electric tools. When I don't plug them in. The tool dosen't work.

bBurton, try using a 12" iron chuck. It will break you of getting you fingers near it!!

Mikey, I glued my finger to a ring the other day. Had to shave the skin off my finger to keep from breaking the ring. Yes, there was laughter and some Tim Taylor/Home Improvement comments made too! Not by me though.

Ouch! Larry, I can just see you standing there thinking well, what the heck am I going to do now. Glad you could save the ring, and didn't lose too much skin. Funny picture though!

After you weigh out your epoxy and hardener you must put them together to work.
I put in a set of points is a cue wrapped it up an hung it for two days pulled it down unwrapped it and the points came right out. After a short investigation I still had the hardener sitting in the cup at my mixing station. So 4 parts epoxy and no part hardener will not work very well. Chalk one more up to the DUH factor.

I always keep the leftover epoxy and check how it set up the next day.
