AZ Poolfest II

Sounds like a good time Jay!

We did an "AZ Poolfest" quite a while back in Dallas/Fort Worth area. I think it was a time before streaming became popular though! :p

Looks like fun! I wish we had done a group shot. Maybe next time. I did get one good shot of Brad on his way to victory, and hopefully he'll post it on here.

Got It

Can you see how bloodshot my eyes were from the night before? I partied with a metal band in El Cajon til the early hours of the morning.

After a few beers and a couple bottles of red wine I was good to go.

I seem to play my best in this state:

Talk about living a full life! Brad's the Man! He puts hundreds of miles on his rent-a-car tooling all over Southern Cal partying, playing pool, partying some more and generally carousing over a four day period. You gotta like this guy! Never a dull moment for him. All this between travels to his homes in Illinois and Thailand. Yes, you heard me right!

I think I'll do a Blue Book on Brad!

Still smarting ...

OK, it took a few days to recover from the spanking I took from Cuaba but I'm alright now. Brad played great, of course. But ya know, I just felt lucky to be in the finals. With a race to 3, on a tough table, with good players - anything can happen. I could've gone out in two just as easily.

All just the same, I had a great time. These guys are were a terrific bunch. Prior to thr event, I only knew Jay, Monte and Russ. Meeting the other fellas was a genuine pleasure.

And I have to give kudos to Jay for being a fantastic host - he knows how to throw a pool party, for sure!

Mr Cuaba, I'll be hunting you down no matter where you go. I'll even go to Thailand to recover the extra $30 I could've won.

I agree 100%.

Most matches went hill/hill.

It all came down to a few rolls every match.

Everybody that played was capable of getting out.

I just happened to be the guy that made the shots when they were there, and ended up safe when I missed.

I hope to be back again soon, and I won't be at all surprised if I go out in 2.

Cuaba,
I couldn't make it to the Sunday Hardtimes....If you entered, how did you do?

I say that she is also charmingly sarcastic and witty...all virtues.

You can follow her odyssey at http://massiveunderstatement.com/ if you didn't know before.

Well.... um..... you do look kinda.... I mean... kind of.... well, um.... scruffy! That's the word... yeah.. scruffy works.

Not Too Good

Cuaba,

I went out fairly early at Hard Times. By Sunday I think the partying had caught up with me and I just couldn't catch a gear.

The matches I lost went hill/hill to good players though. And I guess one of the guys I beat was a pretty good player? But I don't remember his name?

I could tell that he played good, but he seemed to be struggling worse than I was.

You beat Greg Harada, a very good player! After the match, he wanted to know who you were. I told him you were The Lone Ranger! :D
