They have to win 3 consecutive matches. Assuming they have a 50% chance to win each match they have a 12.5% chance to win the cup, or 1/8.

Which "should" be the odds if the matches were all 50/50 which IMO might be pushing it to the favor of the USA.

The odds should be bet 100 to win 800 at the worst for a truly even bet.

You're probably correct, but with odds like that you minimize the profit of the betting-company, so you wouldn't be employed at Bet365 that long :D
