I have nearly all the Billiards Digest magazines from about 1983 to the present. There are a few missing. IMO that magazine represents the greatest collective accumulation of pool knowlege in existance. More than any book published. I'm trying to decide whether to trash them them or not. They've just piled up over the years and I don't want to turn into a hoarder. Yet, I hate to throw out all that knowlege. What do think? To the curb?

Before you go to the curb, bring some to the pool room. Bring a few every week.
Turn into a hoarder?? lol. Kidding. I like the idea of scanning what you deem important (instruction wise, etc.); then maybe some sort of a trade in the wanted/for sale section here. I'm sure someone would like to hang on to them.
There's a market for them on e-bay. Just put them in a few lots, like 1980's, 1990's, and 2000's - then sell them on e-bay. They're probably fetch 50 cents to $1 each. Then advertise the auctions in the for sale section here.
I am merciless in dumping unwanted stuff, but I don't toss pool mags.

this is great advice no doubt, but ill tell you why i could not force myself to do this.... i will never give ebay any more of my money again, ever. i dont care. good for them, great job, they just wont get any more of mine. if it wont sell on craigslist it sits in my closet is my philosophy.
What area are you in ? There are collectors for everything.

I too had Billiards Digest from mid 1983 until present. They do take up a lot of room, but I sometimes wish I hadn't sold them! Also as book collector mentioned they are very heavy. I sold mine here on this very site and paid over $100 in shipping because I didn't want to send them Media mail. If you are interested in selling there are a few issues I would like to have again. Let us know.
i'm in the same boat, mine are maybe 1990 to present. the last couple of years i have given away at the pool room, but no one ever mentioned enjoying them, etc. so i never offered any more. i hate to throw them away, but the old bat is insisting i get rid of some stuff around here.

I will gladly pay you for them. I have some BD mags, but I don't have the complete collection. Even if I have duplicates, I would not mind. I have sticky notes all on the ones I have now.
