CSI Now Accepts Online Registration for Independent Events

CueSports International (CSI) announces players are now able to register online for all upcoming independent events via the CueSports Tournament System (CTS) website (www.ctsondemand.com). The online registration section of CTS went live Friday, January 7th.

Online registration is now available for the following events:
• The 15th Jay Swanson Memorial 9-Ball Tournament
• The 18th U.S. Bar Table Championships
Players who register must pay their online entries by credit card using a Visa or Mastercard. All players will be sent an auto-generated email confirmation for each event they register for.

The Jay Swanson Memorial is going into its 15th year. The $3000 guaranteed / $4000 with a full field added event is scheduled February 12-13, 2011. The tournament will be held for the first time at Hard Times Billiards in Bellflower, California. The event will also be live streamed via The Action Report (TAR). In the previous two years the 192 player field filled with a small wait list.

One of the largest and most revered bar table events, The U.S. Bar Table Championships, with $25,250 added, is held every year at the Terrible’s Sands Casino Hotel in Reno, Nevada. Scheduled February 21-27th, the tournament has the following divisions: Men’s /Open 8-ball, 9-ball, and 10-ball and Women’s 8-ball, 9-ball and 10-ball. Players who compete in all three of either the men’s / open or women’s divisions are eligible for “All Around” bonuses. While there is no field limit, in 2010 slightly over 500 players traveled to Reno to compete. This event is also known for the extremely low room block rates at the host hotel.

Additional events will be added to the CTS online registration page soon. Starting the end of January online registration will be available for all divisions of the BCAPL National 8-Ball and BCAPL National 9-Ball Championships (May 11-22, 2011, Riviera Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas).

However, in addition to registering online, players still have the option to either mail or fax their entries for all CSI tournaments and events. Only one form of registration should be used in order to avoid duplication.

CSI launched its custom designed CueSports Tournament System (CTS) in 2010. The CTS has a highly robust online bracket system which allows for both individual player and team searches, cross event archives, and offers detailed information about matches, such as table assignments, times, history of a player’s event matches, results and payouts just to name a few. Additionally, the CTS site has the added functionality of tournament live scoring, which CSI rolled out in the 2010 U.S. Open 10-Ball event. Now going into 2011, the online registration function has been added making the CTS site revolutionary in the industry for its cross function capabilities.

To register online for the 15th Jay Swanson Memorial 9-Ball Tournament or the 18th U.S. Bar Table Championships go to: www.ctsondemand.com. For more information about these and all CSI and / or the BCAPL upcoming events visit: www.playcsipool.com and www.playbca.com.

CueSports International is dedicated to creating more choices for all players. CSI is the parent company of the BCA Pool League and the USA Pool League. CSI also produces independent events such as the U.S. Bar Table Championships, the Jay Swanson Memorial, the U.S. Open One Pocket Championship and the U.S. Open 10-Ball Championship. Thanks Holly. I'll give it a whirl.

We appreciate the convenience you've afforded us!

I treid it for the Swanee and got all the way to the credit card form, filled it out and it said "contact 1 does not exist"

I think that means you guys have to put in an e-mail address on where you want the registration form to go to.

Holly am I missing it somewhere? What are the entry fee's into each tourney? also will it be green fees or coin op tables again?

A usable email address is required when registering since the CTS system sends and auto-generated confirmation. Did you not put in a usable email?

I think so - i registered and all that.

I'll try it one more time again. If you get a fax from me, you know it didn't work.

Chris

I created a new account and then tried to register for the Swanson tournament. It asked me for the membership number, but I don't know if I ever got one. What do I do now ?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

It worked that time - smooth - I'm all set.

Hi Chris,

If you activate the account after receiving an e-mail, then sign out, go back and sign in, it should take your payment without asking for the number.

Ok, will try that.

[tried]

Ok, not there yet. I clicked Jay Swanson Memorial Tournament from the Active Tournaments Available for Registration and then clicked "Register For Tournaments". Then I get the message, "Before you can register, we need to find your BCAPL or USAPL membership record. The information you entered when registering on this site did not match our player membership records. Please enter your BCAPL/USAPL membership number. We can look it up if you cannot find your card."

Maybe while creating the new account, I entered a different cell number than what was in the record ? Also I had left the BCAPL/USAPL membership number blank since I didn't know it (or if I had it).

Mark, for details and more information about the events visit
the two websites mentioned: www.playbca.com and www.playcsipool.com

At the top you'll see a tab called "Events". If you mouse over the Events tab you will see the tournaments, Jay Swanson and US Bar Table each have their own pages. Tons of info can be found there. That level of details would not be best served in the press release...too much to put in.

let me know if you have any other questions and Happy New Year bud :)

Hi Chris,

No, you do not have to be a BCAPL or USAPL member to register for the Swanee or US Bar Table - they are both open (non league required) CSI events.

Everyone has to go through the CREATE AN ACCOUNT process the first time they register for a tournament on CTS. The first page you see after clicking on either Swanee or US Bar Table under "Upcoming Events" will tell you to CREATE AN ACCOUNT at the top.

When you click "CREATE AN ACCOUNT" it takes you to a page that has at the top "PLEASE CREATE A CTS ACCOUNT" and "In order to register for tournaments, you will need to create an account on this site"

I think you may have tried to enter the system as if you allready have an account, that is why you ran across the problem that you did.

Try it again and feel free to call me on my cell this evening if you need to: (602) 312-8155, or call me at the CSI office tomorrow at (702) 719-7665. I'll help you walk through it if needed.

Sorry rambling a bit...I'm a little tired and rushing to get to league...yes most of us at the CSI office also play league :)

Take care,
Holly

Made it through the online registration process. Had the same issue that Tate had, with the "contact-1" does not exist. Closed the browser and logged back in and it went through without a hitch. Can't wait for this tournament. Been looking forward to this for awhile.

Johnny

Yes, other than that one issue, which we will address, everything has been smooth and entries are coming in.

Thanks and please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.

:)

Ok, I am actually thinking of playing in it. :) Bar table that is.

Thanks Tate, I tried to sign up last night with no success. I got the same message you got. I wish I had read this thread yesterday.

I didn't get out and tried to register. After reading your comment I was ok and it went fine. Thanks. see you there.

I've tried three times to register without success. Three strikes and I'm out.
It is not a user friendly system.

Jay - your registration went through for the U.S. Bar Table Open 10-Ball division. We have that you registered for it on 1.15.11. I see that you didn't however register for Swanee which I know your interested. The system is set up that you can click on both the 10-ball USBTC division and the Swanee and sign up for both at the same time.

When we went live on the 11th, while some people were able to register without a hitch (about half the Swanee players listed on the Swanee page at playbca.com used the CTS registration process), there were some who had issues. The CSI team reacted immediately working to see what was wrong. We analyzed and tested further (using the old tried and true "Scientific Method" that we all learn in middle school science or what is also referred to as deductive reasoning :)

Well, it boiled down to pretty much two issues that were occuring. One issue occured in the coding of the State Field being read inaccurately by the backend database and the second issue was where some folks were not receiving the new accout verification email. Both issued have been resolved. The small handful of people who did not receive their email verifications to the email they provided when creating their account have all been sent new emails and passwords. I am personally calling those 10 players.

After those two fixes the CTS system appears to now be running smooth as glass. Thanks for everyone's help and input.

If you tried to register anytime betweem Jan 11- 14 and could not complete your registration...go back and try again, you should be ok. If you have any issues: call me either at the CSI office (702) 719-7665 or on my cell: (602) 312-8155,

Thanks -
Holly
