SVB wins dcc one pocket good for him

During the match I noticed something yesterday. I think Earl really likes SVB. I think he feels like it's him looking at himself 20 years ago or something. Even during the match when he got some hard luck he was making jokes with the crowd and with SVB. Right after the match he stayed at the table with SVB going over scenarios. I think there is a ton of respect and admiration there both ways, I know it was a shoot out but I thought it was a great finals.

You are exactly right.

Earl was joking that "all those years you watched all those tapes of me....and now it's the real deal!!"

It was a great match.....the crowd was something else. People packed everywhere you looked, upstairs, downstairs, standing on the bleachers, and anywhere a person could fit was full.

It was pool at it's best watching these two go at it.

It's going to be a top seller for Pat..(DVD's) for sure.

I thought it was awesome too. I remember either last yr or 2 yrs ago Shane playing Cliff some on the stream to start getting his feet wet,
FAST Study!
And it was great for Earl being in the finals too, Fired that 3 ball in!

I unfortunately missed the match, but you better believe it's going on my VOTMC wishlist. :)

It was great and refreshing to see Earl playing so well, but more importantly, engaging the crowd and joking in a lighthearted way. I'm hoping he keeps doing exactly what he's been doing, because it's working!

Also, that may have been the most entertaining, offensive one-pocket match I've ever seen!

Yes definitely- There was a few seconds when i think Earl was complaining about luck after the match that SVB wasnt too happy about but after that Shane's eyes lit up when they were talking. Yes Earl likes him a lot id say.

again

Again just wanted to say congrats to shane for winning a tough event. He must be playing real good main page said he beat scott and alex 3-0, also looked at the other page and some others he beat were wiseman, shuff, runningen, platis. Definitely not easy but good job shane. Keep it up and win all 3 at the USBTC this year.

That is some sweet 'n sour irony for Earl, SVB & CueTec

Congrats to SVB for the fine play..

If Earl was still playing with a cue tec he would be playing like Earl and a cutec, now he is playing with a 63" 23oz MG that he is given all the credit to his new found success too, so I guess its more like sweet sweet

It doesn't seem much is being made of his winning of the one-pocket tournament ?! It's a huge accomplishment to take it up and to win the toughest one-pocket tournament within a few years!

I would still think that the premiere one-pocket players (Scott, Efren, Cliff) can still spot him 9-7 gambling since he couldn't possibly have learned all there is to know in one-pocket moving strategy just yet.

yes i agree torrancechris

I would like to see him play some more one pocket though tourney and gambling and try to get better. Hopefully hell play caspers and the us open one pocket(he should get invited now) and they are streamed.
