Way to go Shane!...and with a Cuetec no less!
Ironic that he defeated Earl, no longer playing with a Cuetec.
During the match I noticed something yesterday. I think Earl really likes SVB. I think he feels like it's him looking at himself 20 years ago or something. Even during the match when he got some hard luck he was making jokes with the crowd and with SVB. Right after the match he stayed at the table with SVB going over scenarios. I think there is a ton of respect and admiration there both ways, I know it was a shoot out but I thought it was a great finals.

I was at the most recent Turning Stone event, and SVB and Earl chatted for an hour while they were each at a practice table.
You are exactly right.
Earl was joking that "all those years you watched all those tapes of me....and now it's the real deal!!"
It was a great match.....the crowd was something else. People packed everywhere you looked, upstairs, downstairs, standing on the bleachers, and anywhere a person could fit was full.
It was pool at it's best watching these two go at it.
It's going to be a top seller for Pat..(DVD's) for sure.

That is some sweet 'n sour irony for Earl, SVB & CueTec
Congrats to SVB for the fine play..
I thought it was awesome too. I remember either last yr or 2 yrs ago Shane playing Cliff some on the stream to start getting his feet wet,

And it was great for Earl being in the finals too, Fired that 3 ball in!
