This is a question after seeing what Kamuii is "supposedly" charging $25.00 for a single cube of their chalk at the SBE..
I use Blue Diamond but could not see paying any more than I do for that product..

I think $3.00 is the cut off for me. Just had my table refinished with electric blue, and I'm loving the blue diamond.

Yea i seen the price after looking. That is crazy. I would pay $5 at the most.

25 a cube?

For that amount they had better send someone to my house to chalk everytime I need it and give me a 800 number to call up Efren as a coach.

I know guys that would pay $175.00 for 1 piece of this chalk.

Are you asking how much as a lark just to try it out or on a regular basis? One time I'd pay $10-$15ish. My day to day $3 is about the most.

$25 for a miniture piece of chalk?!?! That's just ridiculous!! I did hit with it yesterday and I liked it, but it never even occurred to me to ask how much it costs. I'm glad I didn't because I was nowhere near a bathroom.

I think a good analogy would be with golf. Golfers will spend 3+ dollars (over $40 for a dozen) on titleist pro v1 golf balls and slice them in the woods all day. But their wallet will tighten up when it comes to buying a cube of chalk, that will last them a month at least.

Disclaimer: I will NOT spend $25 dollars on chalk

The piece of chalk is smaller than any other brand on the market, I cannot see the justification in pricing. $25 for one cube is a bit ridiculous. I think they have forgotten who their demographic market is....a pool player...who typically has little to no money to buy a $25 piece of chalk.

I wont go any higher than what I am paying for BD now...that's my limit....I don't care how much better it is. If you're miscuing that often, work on your stroke!

I selected 10 bucks, but I would likely only spend that once....I love the blue diamond, but even that seems too rich for chalk.
I know we all gripe about the little things, like having to pay for coffe refills at the pool hall!
I would like to try this mini chalk that cost's so much, just to say I tried it :)

Personally, I'd never pay that much to try one out.. I'd have to KNOW from personal or trusted experience to pay premium for anything. I can almost guarantee I'd never pay $25 for a cube of chalk..

Very good analogy, I'd not spend that much on golf balls or $25 on a cube of chalk..

Must be a publicity stunt.
Could be?? Who knows?

Absolutely nothing wrong with Master chalk. Its won more championships than any other chalk in existence. Its been consistant for decades. And its only $15 a gross.
Hmmmmmm lets see here....... Maybe if Tweeten started charging more, people would think that it was better too.

I might, if it is made with tiger weiners, as I've heard in numerous e-mails that I can get more action with it. :embarrassed2:

Other than that, there's a big bucket in the bar.. so it's free. ;)

I also put $10 as my limit, but this is theoretical. The chalk would have to be worth it, i.e. 3x better than BD. I don't think there is such a thing right now but if some new technology came out that greatly increased the effectiveness I guess $10 amortized over the life of the cube wouldn't really increase the overall cost of playing pool that much.

I buy Masters by the gross for $22.00+ free ship. That's about 15 cents a cube. Johnnyt

Same here. I don't have a problem with miscueing, so I really don't see the need to switch chalk to a more expensive brand. I used to use moori tips, but they mushroomed too much and I was miscueing with them. I started using Kamui soft tips and now I don't have that problem. I like their tips, but my masters chalk works great for me.
