http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=223839

In the 10-Ball Breaking Data thread, you mentioned a "Racking Secrets II".
Spill the beans my friend! :D I own your first one and loved it. Really valuable stuff! What can we expect in the 2nd and when do you expect to release?

Best Regards,

I missed that business about Racking Secrets II but you must be talking about Joe Tucker's videos. He's got a ton of stuff on his web site and youtube that is GOLDEN!

Caught that one did ya i4pool, LOL

Been working on it all winter, actually thinking of it for about 2yrs now but put the time in this past non golfing season (thank Mother Nature for all that snow). It is in its final editing stage right now, hoping to have it ready no later than May 1st.
Thanks for noticing, I think? I was really debating to drop that line in there or not but the compulsive Joe won out. So now its out there and I can torture Mrbetmore right back:)

I will be first in line to get this. Loved the last racking secrets video! I learned so much about how to look at the rack. I think I make a ball off the break in 9ball 90% of the time now.

I just recently bought the DVD set couldn't turn it off... I think it was my third or fourth 9 ball rack and bam set up perfectly for the 9 on the break switched my spot and bam 9 on the break!! Rarely do I now miss a chance to get a ball on the break! Thank you Joe!

Hey compulsive Joe! :D May 1st... sounds great. I can't wait to get my hands on it! Best of luck.

Will Racking Secrets 2 supplement RS 1? I was thinking of picking up a copy of 1, or should I wait?

the secret to a good rack

You would still need RS1, all new info in II.

Joe,

After watching your video's I definitely read a rack a lot better. Rarely do I complain about a sloppy rack. It has to be very loose and evenly balanced before I ask for a rerack. Usually I just look it over and decide where to put my cue ball. I make a point of studying the first rack for a minute or so if the opponent is racking for me. When they ask if there is a problem, "No just looking for things to exploit."

They get very very careful racking after that! :D :D :D

Repeat customer

Joe-

If there's a list for "Secrets"II, add me to it please. I bot your first 'Racking Secrets'. Glad I did.

On top of this knowledge, that cross-side back bank is huge. Unffffing believable.

Take care

ps: i4pool goes in the good guys column.

We have ways of making you talk.

promote dvd sales

Joe,

Your instruction is top notch. I use your stroke trainer. Will you offer both dvds in a package deal? It may help sales a tad. Or should we just pony up?

Best,
Mike

Well of course you should pony up. But I will be offering a discounted intro price for a short time as soon as its ready and before it hits the shelves.

Will you ever be re publishing the book? will II have a book as well? I haven't been able to get my hands on a copy of the book but would love to read it!

I don't think I'll be doing a book for either one. RS 1 is on dvd and provides more info than the book.

I caught it too, and immediately went to your web site looking for it. After browsing around for a while and not finding it, I had forgoten the original thread that sent me off on that tangent in the first place, so I couldn't inquire further . . . getting old I guess. Can't wait to see it.

Joe, what is the emphasis in RS2?

When I'm examining the rack and my opponent asks if there is a problem, I reply "no, I'm just planning my run-out."

Speaking of 10-ball racking secrets, at the SBE, Alex Pagulayan was accused of tilting the rack while playing Earl. Assuming that Alex did tilt the rack slightly, does that really increase his chances of making a ball on the break?

Given the randomness of how balls move around the table on the break, my guess is that a slight tilt to the rack provides no significant advantage to the breaker, which means that Earl was making a big deal over nothing.

It's also possible that tilting the rack slightly might actually be to the breaker's disadvantage. If so, that's the ultimate sharking technique wherein putting yourself at a "disadvantage" makes your loony opponent think you're trying to gain an advantage over him. :p

Thats one great reason we need to move forward and use more racking templates and/or at least mark the tables. Tilting "could" be both good or bad for the racker but little more bad than good so I don't see Alex intentionally doing it, matter a fact I don't see him doing it intentionally no matter what.

JT,
Very, very unfair. When you visited Indy a year or so ago, I was invited to join the sessions you had with one of our local pros (usually a prominent member of ALL Betmore Boot Camps)...I couldn't make it...something to do with work or some other lame excuse. I may never live it down - while I was shown some of it; there is NOTHING like being there with the instructor.

Now whenever I show ineptitude on the break, all I hear is "well, you could have been there when Joe T visited..." I think you are WAY ahead in the "torture" contest.
