People have been sick of luck in 9 ball for 30 years. Grady made some rules to decrease it, pros switched to ten ball to decrease it, pockets and the break box shrunk to decrease it... now you can't win on the break, can't accidentally hook someone, can't combo in something early, can't sink an uncalled ball without also making the intended shot... etc.
You agreed to play a well-known lucky game that many top pros left behind years ago. Get with the program, guy.
You are talking a sudden tournament match. In a gambling match you just rack them up and play some more, luck won't change the outcome. The luck factor in fact is often what keeps a player playing a losing game. Tournament play and unlimited gambling play are apples and oranges. That is why a lot of gamblers don't like tournament play by any rules. They hate the idea of losing a match and having to just shake hands. The want to say" "Lets play some more and raise the bet"?
