If you get a chance to listen to JA's interview after the match, the long one later that afternoon, you will hear him say what AtLarge spoke of earlier. JA did say that he didn't want to play on the Cup team with Earl, unless he were to change his ways.

If you want to hear him say it, get TVMike to replay it for you. He did indeed say that part.

As for the 8-10 people that Mr.Putnam supposedly referred to as not wishing to play on the team were Earl to be included.... that is another story entirely.

While Earl was in the middle of his 138 Ball run.....Putnam says; "Quote" I hope somebody Sharks Earl "" and this is while Earl is Stroking.

But if Earl was like the Earl of recent Cups, then Johnny would not want to play on the same team, because Earl is a totally disruptive force to the team as a whole (even if Earl won every match he played). Johnny said that he has reached an age and a point in life where he just refuses to play the Mosconi Cup solely for "a check." Johnny also named Rodney Morris as another player who feels similarly.

I don't know whether that interview is or will be available somewhere, but it was Johnny being candid about all sorts of topics and I recommend it to anyone who is able to find it.

in that same conversation Archer says, I already made enough money, I don't have to play with Earl, so if Archer has made enough money, I will not sell any of the products that he endorses or an event that he has any hand in running. I also heard the shady part about throwing some money to Someone ( i know who but won't say here) if they can help get Bonus Ball in. I have no interest in Bonus Ball since Archer has his endorsements on it. I'm sure there was more people that heard that statement also. I also will not be selling any more Scorpion Cues, since Archer doesn't need the money. Also the comment about the weaker players being allowed to play in the same tournament as himself, as they weren't good enough. Without weaker players, there would be a lot less tournaments. He don't complain that the stronger players get byes at the beginning and don't have to play a top player until they are in the money. Those who live in glass houses, should not throw stones. I lost a lot of respect for Archer after that match, and as far as Shawn Putnam goes, he is just a wanna be, and would do anything to play like Earl. If Putnam is on the Mosconi Cup, I'll refuse to watch...but there won't be any chance of that...choke-choke Putnam

Putman is a JA hugger, and just jealous.. Didn't like him before the match and dam sure don't care for him now.I really enjoyed watching
Kennedy torture him in the Seminole Event last year
 
hell i hope Earl makes the MC team i think more people would watch too see what earl will do an too watch him perform
 
I didn't read the whole thread but to answer your question and this is just my opinion.....

But there isn't ONE pool player who would pass up the opportunity to play on the Mosconi Cup Team no matter who is on the team.

Hell, with Earl on the U.S. Mosconi Cup team, we might have a chance to spank those dudes from across the pond. If we can't beat them straight up, Earl can just stick 'em from across the room with his cue, "Crawfish" style.
