Main & 14.1 forums

How interesting that our reading is so varied. I guess my order of reading would be this:
(1) Main Forum
(2) Tournament Announcements
(3) NPR

Mine would be a two-way tie between the Main and 14.1 forums (shame, shame, JAM -- you missed that latter one in your choices! ;) ), so I had to vote "Other." The Snooker forum would come in a close second.

I like the 14.1 forum and the Ask the Instructor Forum, followed by the eye candy in the Cues & Cases Gallery

I like the 14.1 section. Some terrific information and general happenings going on there.

I head down the list
main forum
wanted for sale
Canadian pool
then the cues section

Every day same thing :)

forum selection

I would have to say there are 5 i usually visit in order below.
1. main forum
2. tournament announcements
3. wanted for sale
4. ask the instructor
5. cue and case gallery
and then sometimes i visit ask the cuemaker and the review sections

The choice selections are reflective of the latest trends in pool.

To see the 14.1 section so popular may not have been a reality, say, 10 years ago on AzBilliards.

What is really surprising to me is the Wanted/For Sale section being a choice of many. I rarely go there. Now I need to find out what am I missing.

I am learning something new about our readership's interests.

I would have to say that Charlie Williams may be solely responsible for the resurgence of straight pool's popularity today.

d. Sometimes hit the wanted/for sale. It surprises me how fast posts fall off the 1st page.

A few years ago my priorities were different and I think I spent more time reading this forum and would spend most time in main.

I, too, am surprised at this. It shows that there just might be more activity in the Wanter/For Sale section than the Main Page. In fact, since this thread is *here* in the Main Section, there might be those who would vote, but they haven't seen this thread because they're hanging out in the other section.

Main
Snooker
NPR - an excellent place - like a visit to the zoo - and a window on the American mind to give us Non Americans greater understanding of the American voter, or nonvoter, as the case may be. :D:D:D

Scaramouche:

That last choice is analogous to visiting a zoo, and coming away with the expected "Those were Americans? They're very primal beings, throwing feces at each other based on this something called 'politics'" impression. That is, unless, you go in there intentionally John Belushi style, instigating and then darting out to watch from afar, subsequently to taunt the non-zoo-inmates here? :p

I like the main forum bigtime...best thing that ever happened to the pool
world.
..but this poll didn't allow multiple choice.
The action forum is always worth a visit....
..you get to see The Saw tellin' people to stop drinkin' the 'haterade'
...and the Dipster's posts reminds me of a Mark Twain quote..
.."I respect a man who knows more than one way of spelling a word"

..lotta good info on the straight pool and 3-cushion forums.....

But I voted for NPR..it was still at zero when I voted so I was not
going to allow that.
These guys are fearless..religion AND politics???
Lots of fine minds there with lots of great insights.
..yeah..sometimes I feel like I'm having a glass of milk in a biker's bar..
..but it's worth the risk.
..and you can always log out and surf anonymously, ya wimp.
.visit Sev's astronomy thread....you'll like it.

It is not exactly a section but a feature of AZ Forum's. I love the ability to use the "Ignore List" !!!

I was really surprised the other day when I noticed all of the activity on the Wanted/For Sale section of this forum. It had more people reading that section than the Main Forum.

Of course, there's quite a few AzB-ers who prefer the Action section of this forum, and we all know how popular the NPR (Non-Pool-Related section) is.

Both the Tournament Announcement section as well as the Cues section get their fair share of attention on a daily basis, and there are some sections which get little to no activity. The Ask the Pro section seems to not be as popular as it once was when it was first created, as one example.

This is another one of those doggone pool polls, and it is a blind poll, so lurkers can feel free to vote in comfort without blowing their cover. :ok:

Which section of AzBilliards Forum is your favorite? Where do you spend the most time, IOW?

It kind of surprises me at how many people view the For Sales Section. I'm going there now to find out what i have been missing.

No fair JAM. You didnt give us the heads up.
Dont worry. I'm on it. :D

I usually hit the new post button, but that has led to several threads in NPR. Every time I go there I regret it, such childish bickering, and mindless cut and paste BS. Is there a way to search all new posts except NPR?

Overall AZ is a great forum, but NPR brings it down several notches.

I like the Wanted/For Sale, Action, and Ask The Cuemaker .

Speak for yourself.

There are so many times you can argue CTE or talk about how to install a tip.
