Dollar water pays off big at "Hanks" billiards

I didn't think it was humor at all, I saw it as another dig at the owner. Why start up another thread for this unless this really bothers you?

I see you guys "supporting" the pool hall all the time. You drink the free coffee or water all day and rarely tip your server. You're usually running for the door as soon as free or discounted pool time is over. On the way out, you take a few pieces of chalk for your league night. Sound about right?

I guess you thought wrong shrimper

  • Hank is loving this
  • Bruce-AKA measureman came up with the idea while giving me a ride home from Hank's yesterday.
  • It was supposed to be a funny sequel to the last water thread
I will admit that MM should of quit while he was ahead, but none of the his comments have been a "dig" at Hank's Billiards.

Vote Hank for president 2012

If you don't want to spend a dollar for water STAY OUT OF THE DAMN POOL ROOM,

Those are the same people that steal chalk from the pool room and when called on it, they say "oh it's just chalk, it's cheap", THEN SPEND A QARTER AND GET SOME YOURSELF YOU F__K_G NIT

well it's a public forum idiot so thats what people do. really no one charges for bottled water? So at lowes we sell water but we should just start giving it away? Hmmm didn't know that. Next time at mcdonalds I'll insist they give me the water for free and will give them your free water and air theory. I'll let you know how it works out lol

The point of this whole thing is places were doing just fine by having GLASSES OF WATER, why did they have to go to ONLY bottled water? to make more money. People who drink water were just fine by having it out of a glass.

..not me...I ONLY drink bottled water.

I've traveled a lot and tap water can be scary

If I were the owner of Hanks and had a customer complaining about no free water or for that matter free anything I would give them your option stay the hell away. You'll never make a nickle dealing with those people.

"Those People" and "F*)#king Nit" You punks are throwing names around like it's nothing. First of all, Measureman has never complained about being charged about paying for water. He only brought it up. I personally know Bruce to be a very loyal and financial contributor to Hanks. (he's one of the regulars that is key to keeping the place open)
I get a kick out of all these forums that are filled with the guys that are just willing to make assumptions about somebody and his/her character and than to start slinging names. Hell, some of this crap said face to face to somebody would get your head knocked off in certain situations. Now I'm not saying this as a threat, or to provoke anything, but it's obvious that some guys out there are much more outspoken while sitting behind their monitors than they would be in person.

I was not talking to any one person, but people that won't buy water and steal chalk should not be in a pool room. Regular customers are great but regular guys who just ***** about everything and bring everyone down without spending a nickel are bad for business.

Hi boys. I'm in town for a few days and have some free time thurs or fri afternoon. What time does Hanks open? Is anyone down for some friendly practice or cheap action sets? I play all games.

Thanks.

Good point Will.
Hank's crusade for dollar bottled water has reached The White House.
President Obama inspired by Hank's entrepreneurial spirit, announced in today's cabinet meeting,
that he can turn the economy around by charging 95-cent (plus state, federal, & local tax) for bottled water in The White House.
The President said that with this water-stimulus boost, the economy should be booming by election day.
A visibly upset Hillary Clinton abruptly left the meeting screaming "what the **** does Hank know, he runs a ****ing pool hall"

ROFLMAO!

Especially love Hilary's blowup at the end and have to think you caught her inner thoughts on the whole mess the USA is in pretty well at the hands of the guy that should never have beat her in the primary.

I think most of us get the joke. Hank should be happy as his is the only room in CO I could name. BTW, my air freshener often does no good either. Maybe we should be discussing what these guys EAT instead.

Dave, the women's bathroom always smells fresh and clean! And thank you for acting on my suggestion for putting a hook on the door so we could hang our purses or clothes if we are changing.

Lol

Next time I'm in Hanks I'll buy a round for the house. Water of coarse! Hoping it will still be just a buck! I'll buy two for Bruce hoping he will keep us updated on Hank's.

By the time the president puts bottled water in the White House it will cost $595.95 per bottle and he will claim it was a good investment!

I agree, cuesblues. Bruce's humor came out loud and clear in his thread, and I chuckled while reading it. The true measure of humility is when someone can make fun of themselves in such a way. And knowing Bruce, I'd expect nothing less -- he's a SUPERB gentleman!

In keeping with the continued humorous nature of this thread... "hey Bruce! How about recommending to the Hanks management that they conduct business the way Russell Peters mentions in the below video?"

Tell them to "be a man!" :D

At my age 2 bottles of water will keep me in the bath room, and that's one place at "Hanks" you don't want to spend a lot of time. :thud:

Honestly, again with sticking it to a room owner over charging $1 for a bottle of water?

Geez, the guy has to buy it, lug it back from Smart or Costco, refrigerate it...

Seriously MM, all the nits over there should either pay the dollar or drink out of the toilet.

Guys he's poking fun at the nits who WERE complaining about paying a measly $1 for a bottle of water.

Personally I laugh every single time I run across one of Measureman's cracks about Hank's $1 bottles of water.
