Earl/Shane score

Safety on the 6 ball...each one shot at each.

These guys play awesome. TAR fantastic job. Shane missed 6 ball (tapped cue on table [heard not seen: was typing]) Earl run out.

24 Earl
20 Shane

Earl breaking...two balls in...one was 9 ball...respotted.

Running out (in line).

Joe says..."This is the type of table you'd gamble on in a pool hall!" "I'ts not new cloth...it's perfect."

Earl mad on wrong side of 7...bad on 8...but should make it.

Makes the 9 ball Earl 25....Shane 20.

Shane slumped in his seat...earl is earl!

Joe says..."I watch pool and mma (earlier)" "Enlightening...thank you" "I have my laptop on me all the time!"

JCIN says hit us up on Facebook!

Jay P. OUT!!!!!

Joe Rogan was great! I knew he would be too. Nice clear voice, interesting insights and perceptions about the sport, plus he always seemed to ask the right question at the right time. Joe has a natural flow to his commentary that makes him easy to listen to. Of course it helps that he had some pretty sharp guys like Jerry Forsyth and Ken Shuman in there with him.

Oh, and the match wasn't so bad either. Earl was Earl, playing great and yet ready to explode at any moment. What an enigma he is. Shane played good in spots, got some bad rolls and still managed to hang in there. This may be the most interesting TAR match yet and that's saying something. Who knows how this one will turn out? Anything could happen come day three. It's like an ongoing serial, with the drama building each day. As Joe said, TAR has got it right!

couldnt agree more jay. im just curious that if earl does hang on and win, how many of the azers out there who say earl cant beat shane, or he isnt that great , will finnally give him some recognition. i dont know how many posts on here say that tar is the true way to determine who is the best player and that shane is the best. although i do agree that shane is 1 of the best in the united states, numbers dont lie. but who knows how this one will turn out , its still very early. good luck to both great champions

Earl and Shane are both on my short list of most amazing pool players and I support both...I got to meet both for the first time in Vegas a few years ago and it was awesome.

The way I see it is Shane not only has to beat Earls game but he has to beat Earl the legend. If Shane is like many he probably grew up idolizing Earl and it can be hard to beat your idol. Maybe I am wrong but Earl is a handful all the way around.

This match may very well be in Earls hands but he needs to ride that fine line between keeping his cool or losing it.
Great match, thanks TAR for the match and you guys for the updates for those who can't watch.

It seems most people here always make Earl a pretty big underdog everytime they match up, but I'm not one of them. The way they're racking the balls neither can beat the other with their break, so it all comes down to playing ability and the tables are playing very tough. Earl didn't really play that well and he's up 5 games. I have a feeling we will be seeing a higher gear from both players tomorrow. Thanks TAR for putting together another epic!!!

As usual TAR is producing another great event! and the players, so far, are playing well. IMO The only thing I would do is put the pocket stretcher in that table and give em another 1/4" width. I'm all about tight pockets, but not when it takes away from the ability to put up a 5 pack or so. This table is so tight they are puckering on the real tough shots......and some of the easy ones.

Maybe something between the original Earl v Efren race to 120, and the TAR table.

The TAR table is PERFECT for 1 pocket action!

WTG Action report!

This is the same table that Shane put a 7 pack on Alex on two months ago.

Thanks for all the updates guys. Sounds like it was a great match. Can't wait to get off and watch it. I really like TAR putting it on a loop, it let's people who have conflicting schedules watch it when they get a chance.

This is the same table that Shane put a 7 pack on Alex but it in no way plays the same as it did then. Weather conditions outside (cold and rain) has made the table damp. With the cloth broken in, and the damp conditions it makes those 4 1/8" pockets play a lot smaller than they did during the Alex/Shane match. Shane has played a lot in the PI in humid conditions, but not with 4 1/8" pockets and damp conditions. Earl is out playing him on it. Johnnyt

Is this a 5 X 10 table, or just one with tight pockets? This match sounds interesting. I may have to tune in for this one tonight...

Good post, Johnny
A broken-in cloth DOES play a lot tougher.

Win or lose, I'm very pleased to see that Earl can hang in there.
..can't watch it today...
..I'll be glued to the stream on Sunday...you gotta love Earl's intensity

I would love to see Earl win, but regardless of who wins, they're both winners in my book. Two of the very best players in the world. Congratulations guys, you're the best.
