Mosconi Cup Updates

And the commentators are calling it a big error! lmao

Most people watching understand the pressure and the prestige etc. I find the commentators as a whole are trying way to hard by adding drama before and after each shot.

Looking good so far, nice effort by Shane in the opening match.

By the way, I love races to six. Next error might cost you the match, let your opponent back into it, or put the match away. Pressure, pressure, pressure.

VanDenBerg's missed eight ball when he had a chance to go up 2-0 was the defining moment in the first match, and Shane never looked back after wining a rack he didn't expect to.

Don't stop now, Team USA. Get it to 10-8 and then Team Europe might start to worry.

I think it would be SVB and Chris Melling or Ralph

Ah, I forgot about Ralf. Yeah I reckon that would be the pick. Melling has been on fire so far this event, but I can't see them putting him in as a rookie.

Really, though, I think it would come down a lot to who looked the good in their previous match, and who's confidence was riding high or not.

Well, hopefully team USA get's there head out of their asses (excluding Shane) we might have some hope. Putnam can play, hopefully he figures it out if we get to that match. Archer is looking decent. He can pull it out. I think game 21 would have to be Shane (so far as I can tell at this point) and Appleton....

Ralph and SVB?

I cannot fathom how you could go any other way as either captain.

You guys are not wrong but if I had to put someone in there is a part of me that says I have to put Johnny in? Maybe wrong but I would have too.

If it's Ralf vs SVB, I gotta like USA.

Meh, I don't know, Ralph has been drilling every top Filipino player in those short challenge matches of late and when it comes to the pressure cooker that guy turns into a friggin monster. Ralph does almost the reverse of choking when the pressure is put on, he goes into dead stroke killer mode, and that mode terrifies his opponents.
