Funny, I thought I posted here earlier.....

I really dig the cue. I still have no idea who made it though.

I wanted to say I am glad you fixed her up. Too often people aren't willing to put anything into an unknown like that, but I really think she deserved it.

I totally agree. Cue hits real solid. As nice as the work is, it seemed a total shame to leave it like it was. The work in the cue is top notch. All inlays ate spaced properly. Ringwork is perfect. And the veneers are as good as almost anything out there.

Quest for knowledge is over. Confirmed. David Kikel. Gonna send it to him and have him replace buttcap with one with a logo. It is one of his first 8 cues. He originally used 5/16x18 pin for the first few and switched to 14 pin. Thanks to all.

Spectacular!

I am very happy you nailed this one down. You really kept faith in that cue. And I am so glad you did.

You did what was right even when you didn't know what it was. Now that you do know you are really going to make it right.

Bravo. Well done.

I am gonna have the buttcap done right. It will have the logo on it and it will be right. I always knew it was not an import cue. I just wish I hadnt been impatient with it and just had him do the original refinish and repair. But it isnt gonna cost me much to have it done. Thanks for all the help guys.

Kikel

When I first saw the cue the ring-work looked like Kikel to me, but without the butt plate, I was not sure. Anyway, it looks like the joint is made from antler as opposed to ivory. There was a time where Dave was experimenting with different horn materials. Regardless, cool cue. :D
