Jannette Lee - DCC results

Uwate,

It's specifically her posse

SA, George, the suit guy, JB, and several other people, little kids would be just fine and adorable. It's all the moves from the other people which add up.

In her defense, she gets alot of attention by fans, sometimes innocent doe eyed fans who are clueless towards what is going on. Not saying that its acceptable to play an opponent who has constant distractions that interrupt play regularly, but I would argue anyone who gets into the box with her has to know this is coming and be willing to fade it.

she was gambling one time and a little kid came up and asked her for her autograph. She stopped play and instead gave the kid some promo cue she had and autographed it. This story was on AZ sometime back. Ive also seen her in person her in south florida and it does seem that people come out of the woodwork to see her play and to get near her.

The suit guy

Prob her personal assistant. She had one with her at the Brickyard tourney last year

Agreed Watchez.

There was one guy who was in a suit in her posse and it was funny to watch him on her every whim follow her around and just try to be around her as much as possible. Reminded me of the cartoon where it was Spike the big dog and the little dog kept running around Spike vying for his attention.

Hey Jeanette what we gonna do today, Jeannette can I bet on your match, Jeanette can we go have dinner.

Jeanette: Nooooope

Nah Jeanette you wouldn't want to do that would ya, wants me to get your bags for ya Jeanette, want me to hold your phone while you play Jeanette,

Jeanette: Noooooope

Maybe he's own loan from P Diddy?

Don't get me wrong - I don't mind her having friends for support, you should have someone in your corner. And maybe she does need someone with her because she has had some incident in her past when walking around by herself. But to me, while gambling, her opponent should not have to deal with it and all the conversations and timeouts are nothing more than a move.

To me she seems like an incredible nit. If someone wants to know what a nit is, she is an example.

To be fair, I have met her and she has always treated me fairly, but after she pulled up after she didn’t get half of herself in a calcutta... , I think she showed her true colors.

I know she came up poor, and I guess that might be part of it, but I never see her in a match where she has the worst of it, and if she would I bet she wouldn’t get stuck much. I know she was bringing in over $400K a year, years ago, but she acts like she is just another broke ass pool player.

The odd thing about AZ is the nut huggers (I guess that isn’t appropriate here), that voted for her for the Louie Roberts award, where she had the nuts or didn’t play. Of course, they (whoever voted for Scooter), voted for Scooter, who I personally saw betting and dumping over and over. Yep that’s some real class there.

I guess I still have a bad taste in my mouth from when I used to go to WPBA events and they would introduce the ladies as, "The best pool players in the world", when most pro men and even short stops would give them a thumping.

Oh well, checkers sell better than chess.

Best of rolls,

Ken

Didn't she lose a large sum at SBE I believe three years ago? Wasn't nitty that weekend.

Wow...you couldn't be further from wrong. You like to assume things and make accusations about people quite often. She bets her own money and the year she won the Action Award at DCC it cost her about 20k. Sure she gets some soft games because of who she is. But she also plays plenty of tough ones. She was only at the Derby for a limited time due to the WPBA tournament and other scheduling issues. She played a guy even one hole that she just lost a few games to in St. Louis...what a nit hugh? Really surprised me with this one...Kentucky must change a man.

Do you wanna make a game for 5 or 10k?

If I am wrong, and it wouldnt be the first time. So are you saying that calcutta story was entirely wrong?

Id love to see her play on TAR, against a real solid male player. I really dont mind her getting a spot, if it was a real gamble.

As far as a 5-10K game, SVB and several others are always looking for a game.

TAR is always looking for an audience, this one would be a home run.

Ken

Watched her play in the action room at the Derby for two nights.
Srongarm and the rest of her team made sure she didn't play anyone who could play,. she won't play a shortstop, they would eat her alive. Sorry, but that's the way I saw it.

If you are basing your opinion soley on what you saw at the DCC when she was there for maybe 2 days then thats one thing. She definetly didnt steam roll the guy she played and she has been in lots of tough games. The weeks leading up to the DCC she lost playing several people in the local pool room alone...

She does get some easy action from time to time because of who she is and the fact that some people know going into a match that they have the worst of it. Most of the time when those matches take place its for very small potatoes.

You are wrong. You are taking bits and pieces of information and making your own version of things up. This is a game I learned in kindergarten...where we whispered something into one persons ear and they to the next and by the time it got to the last kid in class it was completely mixed up.

So, since you wont bet 5 or 10k then you must be a nit and always playing easy games. Your new name around town is Darrell cause you're always shooting one barrel.

I love threads about how Big Arm and/or Jenette and/or their crew are always looking to steal and won't gamble..... Anyone who thinks that, grab a big sack of money, go follow them around for a month and make every bet they make for the same $. Then tell us how nitty they are.

Ken, I don't know why you are complaining about Jeanette getting easy action. Who's fault is it? Certainly not hers. If you want to complain, complain about the players who gave her what you think was easy action. They agreed to the games.

BTW, I wouldn't call her a nit. A couple of years ago at the SBE, she was down many thousands of dollars to a guy and she kept coming back for more. She lost a bundle.

First question I have for you is what is your definition of a nit?

Second if she sends it in constantly betting here own playing for 4 or even 5 figures does that qualify her as a nit in your eyes?

She won that L Roberts award and booked a few losers that year including some one hole with Ricky Bird giving him a strong spot and she just played out the set not whining and pulled up at the end. The same year she beat Richy Rich a 10 ahead she was getting a spot but he took her to the hill twice and she busts him after 16 hours+ I think she won 8k or so plus the rail there and you think she is a nit. She played action pool that entire Derby.

You seem mega biased against Jeanette.

Agreed Watchez.

TC,
I am going to break with my tradition of trying to avoid jumping to conclusions about forum members just because of a post that perhaps was poorly judged. But since you insist on judging me based on your view of a computer stream, I will now attempt to judge you by your internet post.

#1 You are a moron (no...wait...no personal attacks on the forum....I will correct it....You APPEAR to be a moron...). A suit is a matching set of pants and coat. Usually worn with a shirt and tie. Perhaps your vision is as poor as your sartorial knowledge - I was wearing JEANS, SWEATER, and a deconstructed casual SPORTCOAT (It has many pockets which are QUITE USEFUL at DCC where the action is far from the hotel).

#2 I was INVITED to attend the match to HELP HER OUT. You seem to have very little idea of how frequent and often scary her interactions with the very fine caliber of "pool fan" can be. She ABSOLUTELY needs someone to escort her to the rest rooms, ESPECIALLY late at night with the inebriated, very refined patrons accosting her nearly constantly when she leaves the table. When it is requested I follow her EVERYWHERE - it is the "job."

#3 Besides Watchez, I have never had an opponent of JL's castigate me for my behavior; I will run any errand that the opponent would request as well as I would for her - it is the sportsmanlike thing to do. I have become good friends with many of her opponents after a match. I have been invited to the homes of several opponents.

#4 Yes, I carry her cue often. She has had EIGHT MAJOR BACK SURGERIES AND HAS CONSTANT PAIN - she CANNOT carry her case very far without significant worsening of the pain (Watchez, you will need to carry it for her the next time if she is not allowed to have help - also, I believe that over the time I have travelled with her, the behavior of the OPPONENT's POSSE is usually far worse).

#5 The only thing I can say complimentary about your post is that you have a very vivid imagination.

Signed,
"The suit guy"

P.S. - besides being one of my best friends and part of my family; JL is also my mentor and my very favorite pool player to watch. She has more class in her small finger than you have in your entire body if your very snide post is any indication.

I peronally believe that Jeanette dosen't have the game that some the Chinese or Taiwanese women have. But hey, I could be wrong also since I haven't seen her in person, or haven't even had the pleasure of meeting her.

I think it would be better if Liu Sha Sha or Chen Si Meng stepped up with the expenses to play a male player on TAR.

Jay said it himself...

In the past, when I watched the top women play against men, I always felt like I was watching a very good woman player compete. Watching Si Meng play there is no sense of a woman playing well, only of watching an excellent player at the table. She has transcended sex and all its implications with her remarkable abilities. No longer do I find myself saying this is a woman who plays like a man (Jasmin for instance). With Si Meng I see only a great pool player playing the game at a very high level. Once again she is a notch above the rest. Her game is more like a top male player, and I mean TOP male player, ala Ralf, Mika or Shane. Yes, she's that good. QUOTE]

Don - I think you are confusing my words with others in this thread. Since you pointed me out in your point #4, where does it say that I care who carries her cue? And I am not a back expert nor have I ever worn high heels, but I would think that playing pool in high heels would not be good for the back.

Here is my post since it seems to have been lost with the masses. This is the only point I made.

If I ever played Jeanette or was involved in anyone playing Jeanette, I wouldn't mind playing her 6 ahead - but I would limit the amount of conversations she is allowed to have with her posse during and in between games to one 5 minute conversation every 4 games. This would include phone calls with her posse as well. This would also include bathroom breaks as well. She can have a 5 minute conversation OR a 5 minute phone call OR a 5 minute bathroom break every 4 games -- her choice. Anything longer or any other interuption by her posse or towards her posse is loss of game.

Now if I castigated you (by the way I had to look up the definition of the word because I did graduate high school but then thought college wasn't for me so I didn't learn words such as this. And I don't think we have ever had harsh words between us), you will have to jog this old man's memory.

Prob her personal assistant. She had one with her at the Brickyard tourney last year

I think you guys are being way out of line and being jealous! Grow some balls and move on. Jeanette never forced anyone to give her weight or held a gun to their head to take a losing game. Every single guy or team who "suckered" up to the game obviously thought they had the better end of it or wouldn't had stepped up/ put the money up.

Believe me, I've seen it year after year at DCC or anywhere else when the "boys" thought they were stealing and still choked under pressure. So stop whining or crying like little kittens and if you think you got what it takes then go make a game with her.

And as for her personal assistance jokes - cut it out too. I know 'Willibetmore' personally and he is highly successful and established in his career. I know that I could never afford to hire him as an assistant if he was charging to hang around that long and don't you dare to accuse him for being star struck.

He is one of closest friend to Jeanette and looks after her like a family, nothing more! You guys should be shamed of being hateful about beautiful and pure friendship. I only wish I had a friend who would bare my burden and I can trust without a doubt like that once in my life.

You want to whine and be jealous because Jeanette books winners, fine. But don't hurt nice people in the mean time.

Ugh! I'm so gonna lose sleep over this thread!

S.G.
