The correct answer is 33.3999, there is actually only 3 choices because 25% is listed twice, so your choices are 25%, 50% and 60%, But since 33.3999 is not a choice then there is no answer..

I dis agree,,,asked if picked random out of the four choices,,there are still four choices. If 25% is the correct answer ,,it just increases the odds to 50% of getting it correct.
And why I thought 50% was the correct answer.

what's funny is that I would think the teacher was trying to imply that B) is the right answer but it's not...lol

If you look at it from a perspective of a straight up random selection of 4 possible answers it's 25%.

However, 25% is two of the possible answers, so it would be 50%...

However, 50% is one of the possible answers also, so it would be 75%.

However, 75% is not a possible answer, so it would be 0%....

Seems more accurate since there are three values, it would be 33.333%, but since that is not an answer, then it would be 0%, which is also not an answer, so the chances of your mind being blown would be 100%.

There are four answers, A, B, C, D, to choose from. The fact that two of them have the same value ("25%") does not change the fact that you are choosing from four distinct options.

To put it another way, I'll put four marbles in a bag. 2 are red, 1 is yellow, 1 is blue. What are the chances of drawing a red marble? 2 out of 4 or 50%.

Since the distribution of answers is not equal, you need to know what the correct answer is in order to calculate the probability of guessing it. But the correct answer is the probability of guessing the correct answer which depends on what the correct answer is!

So let's assume the answer (regardless of the math) is B.

There's a 25% chance of guessing B.

So the real correct answer is A or D.

But the probability of guessing A or D is 50% so the really real answer is B.

But the probability of guessing B is 25% so the really really, seriously for real answer is A or D.
