Favorite color of Simonis for a home table?

Going to buy a house soon and have a Diamond 9' Pro that will be going in a few months from now...

I was going to put tournament blue 860 on it, but it's going to be in the main living room (won't fit anywhere else). I'm thinking that tour blue will be a little intense for this purpose. What other color would be good, but not too dark? I'm not a fan of green or red cloth. I'm thinking slate color or grey might be good. Have any pictures of home tables with different colors to post?? or advice?

Thanks

get tourney blue and buy a cover for the table. if it is in the main living room you will most likely have a cover on it anyways. ;)

Personally I'd still go with T Blue or traditional green. I'd pick the color for the table cover to match the drapes and carpet.

Go with the tournament blue and invest in a decor matching table cover.... There is nothing close as far as I am concerned... The blue is so much easier on the eyes during a long session that it's not even funny.....

If you have any windows in this room and play much your cloth will fade from the light. What might be bright and intense when new may be....less bright and intense after a few years. I would go with Tourny blue all the way.

Like others have said, you should invest in a table cover which will make matching the cloth to your decor kind of meaningless. You might want to take a look at the camel color. Easy on the eyes and goes with about everything. I don't care for tournament blue.

I went with tourney blue myself with a canvas colored table cover to match decor. I'll post pics once covered.

I went with tournament blue which is great to play on and a black microfiber cover. That cover shows every spec of dust and is not easy to clean.:(

.

When I had my table installed I went with a color to match the decor that was earth tones of brown and orange, a wife pleaser thing. Dumb and stupid. She played a little but it was just a novelty that wore off fast.

I now have Simonis 860 tournament blue in the same area that still consists of the same earth tones.

No one complains about it not "matching" the decor. I enjoy it a lot more and I am the one that uses it. Bottom line is get what makes you satifies and makes you happy. It is your table and you will be playing it. Don't chose a color to satisfy or please anyone else.

I never cover the table because I always stop to shoot a few balls or a rack or 2 whenever I walk by. If it had a cover I would not use it as much.

I used Simonis Electric Blue - it goes well with some of the paint colors popular today. Although it's colorful, it's a deeper shade than the Tournament Blue.

(Nice Gibson there Mr. Tate... re-born Anniversary)... and +1 on PoolAddiction's thoughts and I think one other... if you don't like traditional green, then I'd go with a color that is complementary to the wood on the table which is more dependent on the Diamond rails you have, or something complementary to the trim/carpet in the living room, likely in the warmer hues.

Three choices

Your table is drop dead gorgeous.Beautiful Wood.

I grew up with camel but went with Olive speed cloth. I like it. I also covered my spectator chairs with it. (Actually Brunswick Centennial but it matches) I am very ignorant about serious pool so the Tourney Blue is new to me, I hope I can find somewhere to play on it here in Wichita. Maybe Shurtz will have it on his tables.

EDIT: Oh crap, this was specifically about Simonis cloth, I am sorry, I should not have posted.
