With more and more females getting into pool, I am curious about this forum's demographics.

I do not care what your sexual orientation is; rather, I would like to know if you are male or female.

This is a blind poll, so all lurkers can feel free to vote. No forum names will be displayed in the poll.

Are you male or female?

Geezy peezy, I'm feeling a little outnumbered here. :embarrassed2:

Where are the lady members?

Jen, I got a little tear in my eye watching Keith Moon in that video. Thanks for the reminder of some wonderful days gone by!!!

Maniac

It was a tragedy. Even today, prescription pill abuse continues.

For the young'ns who don't know who Keith Moon is:

Keith John Moon was an English musician, best known for being the drummer of the English rock group The Who. He gained acclaim for his exuberant and innovative drumming style, and notoriety for his eccentric and often self-destructive behaviour, earning him the nickname "Moon the Loon".

Moon's legacy, as a member of The Who, as a solo artist, and as an eccentric personality, continues to garner awards and praise, including a Rolling Stone readers' pick placing him in second place of the magazine's "best drummers of all time" in 2011, nearly 35 years after his death.

Moon then took 32 tablets of clomethiazole (Heminevrin). The medication was a sedative he had been prescribed to alleviate his alcohol withdrawal symptoms as he tried to dry out on his own at home; he was desperate to get clean, but was terrified of another stay in the psychiatric hospital for in-patient detoxification. However, clomethiazole is specifically contraindicated for unsupervised home detox because of its addictiveness, tendency to rapidly induce drug tolerance and dangerously high risk of death when mixed with alcohol. The pills were also prescribed by a new doctor, Dr. Geoffrey Dymond, who was unaware of Moon's recklessly impulsive nature and long history of prescription sedative abuse. He had given Moon a full bottle of 100 pills, and instructed him to take one whenever he felt a craving for alcohol (but not more than 3 per day). The police determined there were 32 pills in his system, with the digestion of 6 being sufficient to cause his death, and the other 26 of which were still undissolved when he died.

Moon died shortly after the release of Who Are You.

I remember reading something back in the day that most people that are in chat rooms believe that the people they are chatting to are the same race and gender. I wonder if this applies to AZ as well. If my avatar was Mel Gibson, would most people assume I looked like him?

I thought we had a few more female posters on here as well.

Golly day, me too. I must admit that I am a little shocked at this turnout. I had not realized what a minority the female count is on AzBilliards Discussion Forum.

Surely, this cannot be reflective of how many females play pool compared to males. I see a lot of ladies playing pool these days.

Well, I don't know about ladies but there a lot of females that play! Just kidding, just kidding! :p

Actually we have a decent ratio of players in my league. The men still outnumber the women, but there are ladies on the majority of the teams.

Oops...I am dozing off after a few tabs of "beautifying sleep" med and I picked the wrong choice. Gotta cut up a few slices of cucumber now. Hope I don't wake up with bloody fingers.
