Could you explain what's happening?
Same crap he always pulls. Working on his tip each and everytime he sits down, always moving some part of his body, and on and on and on. Been doing it for more than 20 years. Johnnyt
I haven't heard Mike complain about it over the last 2 days. Mike did complain about Dennis blowing his nose.
I know a couple of dozen players who work on their tip and other things every time they sit down. I have also seen Hatch play a lot of times in different tournaments and I've never seen him do anything out of line.
I'm thinking this is something personal.
What kind of moves?? He can be dramatic sometimes.. You however must admit he's got the swag.
I've probaly only watched 5 hours of the whole thing and i've heard Mike tell him to sit down, put his cell away, nose blowing and sniffling/snorting, and i'm very hard of hearing. Hatch is a great player but one of the worst sports in pro pool. Johnnyt

Mike shouldn't be slamming his cue down on the table either that's poor sportsmanship but really it's a great entertainment value.

Relax... it hasn't been happening while Mike is shhoting at the table. Mike should focus more on what he is doing and less on what Dennis is doing. By the way, Mike may not get to 20 tonight...

Why in the world can't these guys at like professionals at any giving time?? I know most people (Amateurs) that play in tournaments just sit there and play!!!!
I know why most of the pro players act in this fashion. Have you seen the payouts?? Well if you spend 1k before hitting a ball you probably will do anything to give you an edge against a superior opponent that you're up against. Sure I see where they're coming from but in this match what are they really losing???

Perhaps some should consider that this is entertainment, the players are entertainers, and everything they do is for entertainment purposes.
This stream or video or whatever it is would get exactly zero publicity if these guys weren't "entertaining" you.
I'm just suggesting that there is motivation for these folks to "act up" for entertainment purposes.

I'm nobody's nut hugger. I'm just a fan of pool and I've been to a lot of tournaments. In fact, I've spent the last two days at a regional tournament. Over time, I've seen many players pull a variety of moves. I'm not saying Hatch is an angel but he certainly is far from the worst.
You really should get out from behind your computer once in a while, go to tournaments and watch what goes on with some of the players. It would be very enlightening.
Yeah, and they are getting how many viewers with all those entertaining antics compared to the finals of the World Snooker Championship where the players are basicaly just playing the game in a professional fashion.
In one arena you have guys acting like spoiled divas and making peanuts in front of a handful of people, on the other side you have people acting like professionals playing a match for huge money in front of thousands of in person spectators and millions more on live TV.
Pool seems like it has a winner here, get guys to act like they are and you can get hundreds of people watching, sounds like an awesome plan...
So perhaps they should be playing snooker? You are comparing apples and oranges in two different worlds.
I am not condoning their actions, I'm just suggesting other motivations.
Nobody in America gives a damn about snooker so that comparison is invalid. If they were choir boys there wouldn't be comparable viewers
