Hello folks,

Just finished the bison chocolate brown leather wrap to complete this cue for Dean Campbell.
Initially we talked about either a brown lizard or a cognac lizard but at the end of the day none of them went really well with the wood color.
So I picked up this super nice bison chocolate brown and it complements the cue really well.
The cue is brazilian rosewood.
Sorry for the bad pics, something is not right with either the lens or the camera or the photographer :rolleyes:

but your wrapless are so very nice
i have been second guessing myself

i love this one
colors match
but i want a wrapless too

what do you guys think
either way i want 1 of each

which one do az people like best

Hey Dean,

I am glad you like the cue. My pics are bad. You will see the cue when it gets into your hands. The brazilian rosewood on the whole cue is amazing.

Hey dean,

That's a rocker right there! And i do think it looks beautiful as a wrapped cue too. Gives it a no nonsense classy look.

Personally i would've gone with Elephant Ear skin like the one LC Hui had on but i gathered from Tony you're not a fan of elephant so that's cool. Either ways it's still a looker, i'm still waiting for mine..can't wait.

Dean, I have added some pics with the new wrap. I think it makes the cue look a lot better. It is chocolate brown bison. It does have some very light texture but it is nice and smooth. I am sure that you will like it, if not I will change it to something else. I have also added double rings on the leather.

I am shooting to have a line up of 6 or 7 cues. I am not sure yet.
 
i really do appreciate all the service and attention i got

My cues are a mix of influences from Master Cuemakers.

Any collector or player that had a few cues can probably tell which cuemakers influence me the most.

I have a few cues in the works with points and inlays that will start giving a different twist on how I have been making cues to date.

In the other hand, I can probably mention you at least 6 or 7 cuemakers that also use the triple, double and single rings on the wraps.
I appreciate the feedback and your comments and respect them as well. Any type of feedback is appreciated.
Also, I do not use the double rings on the wrap all the time. Some cues they look good and on some cues it just damages the flow of the cue. Dean asked for a wrap that could be very smooth and not flashy and I think that the double ring gives it a nice touch.

Well Tony, first off...these pictures are 110% better than Dean's pictures! :wink: (Kidding Dean!)

I really like the continuity of beauty throughout this entire build...nice choice on the woods...nice choice on the rings...nice touch on the wrap as well!

Don't really care for what all the haters hafta say about your work buddy, they look awesome and when i receive mine i'm sure i'll be telling you how great they play.
Even SW cues have haters out there...goes to show you can't please 'em all.
 
i don't think we have a hater
someone thought this was the place to express personal preferences
and i acted over sensitively

everyone loves the cue
someone thought unique rings could have improved it

i have to admit when i see a cue,i often think ,this or that would make it better

we all do

regardless ,i have had many compliments and inquiries,but i have not seen the cue yet and i am not eager to let it get away

lately i have developed a fondness for non point cues

i used to call them plain,but with the addition of gorgeous woods,
they are not so plain.in fact this one is beautiful
