WHo makes the best cue in the $179-179.99 range?

lol best thread ever...i guess a not-really-useful cue shopping advice sub-forum is needed to go along with the not-really-useful aiming sub-forum...

Wholesale, retail, sale price, or clearance price?

Is that with tax or without?

Playing cue, jump/break, jump, break, or masse?

I mean really......let's be serious here.

.

I thought I finally found me a customer! I've got a great cue, but it's $181.03, and that's as low as I can go.

I may go with the Brand-new-lucasi-sneaky-pete-pool-cue-L-2000SP or the McDermott-S32-Star-Wolf-Pool-Billiards-Cue-Stick.

Not sure why, but I kind of like the 2nd choice..

If you twist my arm I will let this one go for $179.01, shipping included...and I will throw in a soft case, cube of genuine Master chalk, tip scuffer, a tip clamp and a brand new spare tip. :)

There's more! If you act now I will throw in a Tweeten Rapid Cue Top Sander!

Oh...and it's STRAIGHT! :)

Are you saying that this cue has a $30 lesser hit than the Lucasi mentioned earlier?

I'm confused, how could a very similar cue be 30 bones apart, how do they quantify the hit in dollar terms?

Have you ever taken a hit of anything worth $30?

Yes. Yes I have.

Based on your awesome location, I would have to agree with one of the above questions, if you can agree with a question of course. Do weed forums have the same problem? If so, do they keep asking the same question because nobody remembers anything?

But, is a $30 hit in one place worth a $30 hit in another place? I think that's what this whole thing has been about. Can Charlie Sheen build a cue in Subic Bay for a repatriated Englishman?

Don't forget to factor in the sales tax. I live in New York city, so I'm paying $195.51 after paying %8.625 in combined sales tax, whereas a player in New Hampshire (no sales tax) is going to save $15.52. Thats half of $30 right there! When I swing that cue I may not feel the hit in the hands, but I'll feel it in my wallet.

This is important question.

I think the best cue made in that price range would have to be is a Fromundacue. These cues are all One of a Kind and they take many many months to make. Another nice feature of these cues is how well they will knock the shit out of the balls, so recommend that Fromundacues be used as break cues.

If you are interested in buying one of these beauties check out this website:

Good luck in your search!!!:)

Ok, I think I see what the problem is now..

You need a rear-weighted cue to help maintain balance. The question is, do you usually carry smaller or larger bills in your wallet? If smaller bills, you may need more rear weight. If larger bills, there's usually not as many so it won't have as great an affect. You may want to experiment with baseball bat weight sleeves.. or you can go a la Earl and use the ass weights. Lastly, if those are outside of your price range, you could tie cans of beans to your belt.

My current playing cue cost $175 plus around $4.50 shipping (true fact). Does that count? It hits real good.
