Cue ID help needed

Hello,
I bought this cue about 15 years ago and need help with ID. Maybe someone hear can help. The pin is 5/16-14. When i bought it i was told it was a Paradise and most people I showed it to say it's not. I would just like to know what it is.
Thanks,
Ray

This cue design has been used by many people over the years.

1) George Balabushka made cues with this butt design with a Brunswick Titlist as the cues blank.

2) Abe Rich and the Rich Cue company both made cues with this butt design that was part of a House Cue Blank.

3) Frank Paradise also made a couple of cues with a similar butt design, but from what I see in your pictures your's is not one of them.

4) I don't know how many import cue manufactures also produced cues with same butt design on both a house cue and plain (no points ) blanks.

I believe that your cue was made in Florida at the Star Cue Company by Abe Rich during the 1960's or early 1970's. The cues joint pin, Brass joint, the shaft pilot along with the fact that he made cues with the same butt design as your's are why I think that this cue was made by Abe.

Hope this helps

I went through many of my images and catalogs (all of them that might apply). And the closest I came was Mayer, but no exact match.

That cue is in beautiful shape. A nice example.

I Agree, not a Palmer. I just hope someone has seen this or one similar so I can put this to bed.
Thanks for all the reply's so far, much appreciated,
Ray

I'm leaning towards Carl Mayer or Abe Rich. I don't think it's a Paradise because he generally made a shorter butt plate. I don't think Palmer, because when they made non-veneer points, they were generally shorter than these. Nice old window design. Hope that helps.

NOT A PALMER. THE JOINT ISN'T EVEN CLOSE.

RICH OR KARL MEYER.......

IS THE JOINT ALUMINUM?

Marcus

All these years I just assumed the joint and rings were steel but low and behold it is polished aluminum. Never looked at it close or put a magnet to it.
Thanks Marcus for the question,
Ray

LOL!

For some reason I have generally been good at telling the difference between them on sight. The luster of the two metals is slightly different, even when freshly polished but especially with time. I used to do some metal polishing.

One caveat though; a magnet will not always tell the difference. Stainless steel may or may not be magnetic depending on which it is.

But I do think that to be aluminum...it looks like aluminum to me.

IF I HAD TO BET, IT WOULD BE THAT IT'S A RICH.

THERE ARE SO MANY SIMILARITIES WITH MEYERS CUES THAT'S VERY TOUGH TO BE 100%.

I could see on the inside of the joint with a eye loupe that it is aluminum, You guys know your S**T.

It's going to be for sale or trade in the next week or two.
Thank You for all the replys, I really appreciate your help.
