8-ballRat's Post
The post by 8-ballRat added a bit of levity to a very sad situation........Sureman will inevitably have both supporters and critics over what's occurred but let's keep in mind there are lots of others on the Forum that are neither.........these are the people that are watching this situation to see what comes of it..........and based upon how things ultimately turn out, these same folks will invariably become one or the other.
Right now it sounds like there are a lot more critics of "Sureman" than there are supporters and it's completely understandable. It's tempting to take the side of someone you personally know or have had prior successful business dealings with. You start thinking...."This can't be the Don I know......he'd never do that to someone."
Taking sides is easy........after all, how much does it cost anyone to take a side in this dispute. There's going to be a plethora of opinions, advice, criticism, and support but let's keep in mind that there seems to be a real injustice afoot here on the Forum. Remember, this could be any one of us the next time and as a community, if there is such a thing nowadays, it's incumbent upon Forum members to collectively try their best to identify dishonest individuals.
Again, I don't know that "Sureman" is entirely at fault in this matter or is indeed a dishonest pereson. What I do know is that based upon what I've read to date, he doesn't seem to care much about trying to do the right thing and is obviously indifferent to what other Forum members are saying about this matter. That tells me he doesn't want to face the music even though it's blasting very loudly in his tone-deaf ears.
The only real measure of a man is done through his actions not his statements....and in this pathetic situation, we don't even have either one from "Sureman".....just hearsay & 3rd hand comments passed along by some of his supporters. Only time will tell what becomes of this but we should not let this thread die........keep it going Forum members.......Everyone should boycott Sureman on any future business untils he directly answers the injured party and resolves this problem.
If he's a stand-up, trustworthy, honest seller........keep in mind that I said "if"........and he's interested in restoring what's become his soiled reputation on the Forum, he'll get off his fat tush, and find the courage to respond....hopefully truthfully but any response would be better than none. I betcha his wife would have a mouthful to say about this matter but her thoughts are truly inconsequential unless......... maybe she wears the pants in his marriage. If that's the case, then he has to get the okay from "Mrs. Sureman" who is credited with pretty much saying "Go buck a fuffalo."
Let's Keep This Thread On The Front Page Until "Sureman" Resolves This Problem.....or is exonerated........but remember, you, or some other naieve Forum member, could conceivably become the next victim down the road.
