who should check and test a new training method and report to the public?

I don't know about checking on a new system, and reporting back, but I once drove all the way to Los Angeles, just to see if the coast was clear.

@JoeW

thanks for this suggestion
Should have talked to you 5 month ago...
Won't have time for this now anymore.

@Randy G. Thanks for volunteering-you#re in the box!
First instructor as far as I know. Please correct me if there were already others. I presume Randy will be in the category of instructors with knowledge and ability to use CTE, same aim etc...

@all others as well in the box thanks for your interest.
Tomorrow I will summarize who is leading at the moment.

Ekkes

I would love to see Joe Tucker's view on this system. I think he is an extremely talented instructor. I am glad Randy stepped up to the plate because everything I have seen and read from him he too is also a top notch instructor.

I received the original SEE system and found it confusing to follow. So I am very interested in viewing the new improved system. I believe I fall into the category of those whom no matter how much they practice or whom they study under their game just won't improve to a high level of play.

As for my background I am in my mid 40's. I am a diabetic and have been trying to learn this game for quite a few years. I have had lessons with Mr Lee, Drill Instructor, Mike Fieldhammer, Geno "the man" Albreicht, Tom Mcgonagle as well as attended Pool School weekends and studied under a BCA instructor Ken Tewksbury whom runs a pool school. I have not been able to make any significant improvement to my game in the past 2 or 3 years. I have continued to struggle with being a 5 or 6 in APA.

I play almost every day and practice about 5 times a week doing Drills and exercises learned from past lessons and instructional dvd's I have purchased. I can't seem to get any consistency in my game. I believe I struggle with alignment issues because shots that I believe I am lined up on are not aligned when I view the results on the video.

I am looking forward to the results of your chosen testers. Thanks for creating such a great training system hopefully I will find a breakthrough when I start using your new improved system.

I have been a 7 in 8 ball and in 8 in 9 ball since 2006. I mostly just get down and if it looks right I fire away. I had never even heard of aiming systems aside from ghost ball until about a year ago. There is a gap in consistency in my game. I have strong cue ball control but tend to rattle balls from time to time. I have been interested in your system for awhile but haven't had the funds to purchase it.

OK I have sorted out who has been named the most often in this thread and in the "ask the instructor forum":

winner in the category of feel players:
Shaky1 (2)
12squared (2)

winner in the category of players with experiences in using other systems:
Okie (2)
There were several persons who were named only once. So I will choose:
Houstoer (1)

I will pick the RENFRO (1) too as he knows the innitial SEE-system-and he can as well judge if the new edition is "better", still "confusing" or even "worse"

instructor "old school":
Bob Jewett declined
,
Ratta declined but suggested to test it with two of his students online via video,
Joe Tucker (would not be fair, as I have sent all material to him already...- and he likes me....,
So I will take Ratta with his 2 students reporting if it is OK for him...
In case he declines I am open minded for any other instructor! suggestions?

instructor with knowledge and experiences of systems like CTE/90/90 etc:
Randy Goettlicher (4) incl. all suggestions from "ask the instructor forum"

What I need now is: E-Mail adress of the winners via PN as they will get a link to download the program and their public statement in this thread:
Yes, I want to test the training program and will report back to public in this forum!

As soon as I got all statements from all winners I will send out the material!

i use the perfect aim

I started using this about a month and a half ago. I have a 10 foot pool table with 3 7/8 pockets. Since I started using perfect aim I have broke and ran 8,9, and 10 ball racks. This is a vary hard thing to do on a 10 footer with 860 and shimmed pockets. But in by quest to become great I am open minded to all forms of teaching. Some have worked for me and some haven't but what gene tought me has really worked for me. Thanks Larry

Do a run to 100 in 14.1 and see how it works.

thanks again to Herr Ekkes for providing this opportunity. I'm looking forward to it !!

I'd like to see you post a run of 25, since you're so cool to ask a random stranger to run a 100 with a new technique of his --- implying you can do the same with your arrow.

Can you run 100 with your Babe Cranfield arrow? If not, SSSSTTTTFFFUUUU

Ekkes,

Per your request to publicly state my intentions: Yes, I want to test the training program and will report back to public in this forum!

Thanks,
Dave

A guy posts an accomplishment that he has done after trying a new system/technique and you got the balls (and lack of brains obviously) to post a reply like this? GFYS

Good job Larry, keep working on improving and disregard stupid comments like this.

Wish i woulda seen thia earlier as i am a 2 time vnea state junior champ in 2004 took 9th in vnea junior nationals and i play purely by feel

Thanks for giving me a shot! I will be as honest and objective as possible!

Yes, I want to test the training program with my 2 online students and will report back to public in this forum!

talk to you soon Ekkes,

take care,

I'm in..... I am interested in seeing the changes and reporting back my take on them... I may or may not be a harder sell of the new system since I did work thru the first version which I found to have plenty of merit....

Keep telling them and I'll........

Hi there Larry,
Keep telling them and I'll keep teaching them.
I hope they get a couple of players to do this but I really think that it should be someone that is not biased right now towards a certain technique.

As far as helping players improve their game immediately you know what I recommend.

If this was a pool game I feel like I would have to spot everyone the 7 and the break. :rotflmao1::rolleyes:

See what I mean about being impartial.

I'm sure that other teachers feel the same way about the way of aiming they teach.

Results are what matter.

I'd like to see a competition with a huge amount of money to help players see what really works and what does. I would just love it.

Let's get ready to rumble. $100,000.00

I don't know where the cash would come from. Maybe some independently rich individual would put up the cash.

I've got $20,000 to throw in the pot..............

Pretty neat thought. Would be great for pool.

Maybe 2 aiming systems go up against each other like a pool match. Then 2 others. Then 2 others. Until only one is left standing.

$5,000 each. Building the pot each match. 10 aiming systems. $50,000 in the pot.

Teaching players from some league in some poolhall in some town. Could be anywhere. Neutral party pick the town and poolhall.

Each teach 10 players. Maybe 20.

This would be the most honest and accurate way to have the cream rise to the top.

Just like any competition.

There is some awful good aiming stuff out there but I like my chances for sure.

Like in Missouri, SHOW ME..........Results is what matters. results from players that are trying to improve and at all levels. If it works for the beginner it will work for the pro. And everyone inbetween.

Jay Helfert is one of the smartest guys here on AZ.

Maybe he could come up with some idea how something like this could work. [/COLOR]

It would really be good for pool overall also.

Might just create some real interest.

I would be happy if he would just respond back to someone for once.
