Mark Bear

Sorry to hear this. I never met Mr. Bear, but have had the pleasure of owning one of his cues. A few years back, when I was looking at buying it I talked to him over the phone and he couldn't have been more helpful, even though I was buying it on the secondary market. It is one of the nicest playing cues that I have ever shot with.

I guess by building such fine cues that a piece of him has been spread throughout the country, not a bad legacy.

Very sad news! I only spoke with Mark by phone, during the building process of my custom jump cue. Very nice gentleman.

I also recall much happiness and beer with Mark.

He was a wonderful friend and an excellent cuemaker.

I am very saddened to read that I will never see him again.

You'll be missed, Mark. RIP, friend.

RIP, Mark.

So sad to hear. Finally had a chance last year to hang out with Mark. He was very funny and a genuinely caring guy. Very supportive and encouraging. Thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. RIP.

I have known Mark for many years and this is very sad news. My prayers are with Mark's family. He was as cheerful as ever when I last saw him and gave no clues about his illness. He will really be missed.

Sad news indeed. RIP Mr. Bear.

Sad news. Way to young to pass.

Agreed Steve, way before his time. Mark was a very genuine individual and he very graciously gave me his time even though some of my crack pot ideas about cue construction must have given him nightmares. I will miss his humour and it pains me to think he will never make me another cue. I will cherish the ones I have.

Mark.....if you are reading this.....one word........cinnamon.

Very sad to see him go, a friend of mine told me last night as he and Mark were pretty good buddies. Prayers for his family.
