Lyn...I don't know what the big secret is. Pretty sure it's Billy Stephens from Richmond. He used to own The Playing Field pool room (now closed).

Jen,

For the life of me I can't put a name with the face. Played him at the New York State 9 Ball in Binghamton several times. Last time I saw him, he denied ever playing me. Billy Something I think...... PM OK.

Scott,

Just asked for a name. Didn't think it would cause such a problem. Kind of thought it was Bill. Just wasn't sure. Should have remembered this is AZ Billiards and PM'ed Jen. Thanks for the answer anyway. Appreciate your taking the time !

Any chance you're going to Reno in February?

There ain't no secret. I'm not sure why people are making a big deal out of it. Man, must be a slow day in AzBilliards Land. I'm going back to work. It's more fun than this place for sure, and that's not saying much!

You didn't do anything wrong, Lyn. Some folks on this forum have too much time on their hands, I think. It's no big deal.

Hey, I resemble that remark!!!!!:p;) Smilies in no special order. Thanks for the grin Jen.

Rich...Yeah, Bill sold the pool room a long time ago. I think it went through at least a couple of owners since then. I was sad to see it closed, although it did go downhill. I did quite a few lessons in there over the past 15 yrs. Now it's Diamond in Midlothian where I teach when I'm in Richmond...

I'll be darned if I know who that is in the picture  but Billy hasn't lived in Richmond for a long time.

Jen:

I think that's by design, just by reading the flow. Lots of folks on here are tired -- just tired -- of hearing Danny whine like a generator (especially digging up 7-year-old threads), and then go into fits of Turrets at anyone that either doesn't agree with him or else attempts to point at the error of his tactics.

Hence, just like you use the great technique of music appreciation to drown-out the negativity of a derailed thread, so too are these folks using redirection to drown-out Danny's negative derailments.

Just food for thought,
-Sean

You may be right.

I was going to correct some misinformation presented on this thread, but the only thing it would do is create further back-and-forth nonsense. ;)

So tired of ego-flexing on AzBilliards, I guess. :frown:

Actually, I'm one of the people that absolutely LOVE reading your "corrections" -- you have a writing style that makes one feel like "being there" -- so please, correct away!

This actually helps in drowning out the negativity, something I, like you, wish there were much less of.

Stay awhile, Jen. There are a lot of us who missed you, and are happy to see you post again!

I've found that posting here is frustrating at times. I have spoken to industry members who read this forum on a daily basis, but they never post because they do not want to feel compelled to reply to a post directed at them or quoting their posts. It is much more comfortable to read this forum and keep your thoughts to yourself, IOW. Why share them with those who only take potshots at picking apart your words to flex their egos.

I have met some members of this forum in person, and I must admit that I am shocked when I discover their forum personality is quite different than their in-person personality. It is one other reason to not post on this forum. Who needs the sarcasm and personal attacks from those who are only ego-flexing to begin with?

I posted Billy's pictures as an inside joke between ME AND BILLY. He is a friend of mine. If anybody else is offended or wants to make a big deal out of it, they can shove it where the sun don't shine.

I'm done with this thread. I regret providing an explanation to the member who wanted to know what happened at the Mid-Atlantic 9-Ball Championship. Maybe some things are better left unsaid.

I am with you and am not going to post much anymore just read. The problem with forums is it is only written word. How people perceive you writing depends on their attitude at the time and the events in their life. This is unlike being in person, where you subconsciously read peoples physiology to get a truer picture of what they mean. Plus people will write things they will never say face to face.

You made a great point

If a player had a cue stolen 7 yrs. ago and decided to post the picture of the cue would you consider him to be whining also. The last time I checked this is a public forum, all I know is this is not a gambling debt and the tournament was sanctioned by the UPA ( a governing body that is designed to help pro pool - what a joke). Brady Behrman did not pay my entry, plane ticket, and or any other expenses that I had. The way I see it this is money that was stolen from me and this is a public forum that Brady disgraced when he lied to the forum members saying that he had sent me two money orders for $1,000.00 a piece when he had not pushed even a penny in my direction. I understand that accidents happen, I WAS patient for many yrs. with Brady my patience has reached an end. While I did appreciate Blackjack's wanting to help calm the storm between Brady Behrman, the UPA and myself - I feel he used poor judgment when he said that "I had not handled the situation well" or that I had made some mistakes in reguards to the money owed to me from Behrman or the UPA. I no longer compete at the US Open as the promoters son who owes me exactly $850.00 has not paid me and does not seem to care about keeping his word or maybe he has just compartmentalized it and chooses not to be held accountable for keeping his word. I am tired of players being owed money from a professional pool tournamentand then if they know the right people then you can get paid. The US Open happens every year, I will make a post about this untill Brady pays me what he owes. That is the reason this world is turning to shit, people give their word and it really means very little to them. Well not to me, I may have some faults but my word is my bond and if I owe someone $ I will dig a ditch or whatever I have to do to get them paid. So welcome to the real world Sean sometimes we have to correct the neg. so we can move on. When Brady is ready to correct the situation between he and I then I will move on. If you don't like hearing about how the real world works in pool tournaments and pro players not getting paid then don't read or respond. I will continue to post despite the fact that I was told not to aggrevate the situation as the Behrmans may be connected or whatever, I am not afraid and will continue to post about Brady Behrman untill he pays me what is owed. From what I see about you Sean is your just another intellectual moron that wants to try and impose your will where it's not welcome. So again this is a public forum and I will once again extend my offer to Brady in that if he wants to settle this dispute - he can. JAM acts as if Brady is poor and can't pay, this could not be any futher from the truth. He drives around ion a brand new Corvette so I don't think he is poor - just another know it all that could care less at paying what he owes.

Not all debts are created equal.

Your bank or company owes you money, that's one thing. Your business partner owes you dough, that's another. A friend, or perhaps a family member owes you, something else there. Pool tournament or money game debt...

On a scale of 1-10, I'd say you're near the bottom of the aquarium and at this point in time may want to move on.

He has proven he doesn't care if he owes you money. Personally, I have a very low opinion of Brady for that.

On the other hand, you have proven that you won't use the proper legal channels to collect money rightfully due you. The law was on your side. You could have collected every dollar and a lot more in court at minimal expense and be the one driving his Corvette.

The statue of limitations expired 3 years ago. Now it's too late for you to do anything Danny and you only have yourself to blame for that.

Spend more money to make less money? I don't think thats wise...

If any of you would be honest about the situation, and take a look at it, Danny is owed money, simple as that.

The other guy owes it, and it seems he does whatever it takes to avoid paying it........?

Stop hassling Danny for making this subject public like it should be.

If any of you had a pool cue stolen of yours you would for sure make it public knowledge, or at least make it known that it was taken. And if you knew the person who did it, I'm sure you would mention their name and call them out on it....

You might even try to get others to get in line behind you and on your side to add pressure to the person who stole it, so you could get it back....

Maybe?
