Unknown cue -ebay

This cue has been sold twice on there already. It was sold initially in a group of 17 cues. Think they went for something like 150-200. Then the person broke those cues down and sold them in individual auctions. All mainly just cheap cues. This cues buttcap was actually broken. Dont know who did the repair or if the person just has it turned where you dont see the damage. I know it is the same cue though. Cant prove it, but I know it is. As far as being a Mottey, it sure doesnt look like anything Paul did. Kind of like that other guy who had the cue with a GS on the butt. Just trying to get someone to think it is something it isnt.
 
I don't doubt that it says PM under the wrap. What that means is open to debate but certainly it isn't a Mottey.


It is indeed the same cue as in the previous auction, as was said.

It wasn't just turned though as the butt cap material is now different. It also looks like the butt cap fitted may not be exactly flush. Not sure how good the job was.

It's a pretty cool cue I think.

I have been watching it and I was probably a bidder...but with it being posted here I doubt it now. :frown:

The cue does have some age. It isn't a very modern cue and I figure somewhat older than the 1997 date under the wrap would indicate...but that's just a guess.

It looks like they mated a cheap Ebay shaft to it.

I think it's cool though.

I've heard of makers signing under the wrap, and i've also heard of proud repairmen signing under their wraps..........Like already said, shaft is NOT original, ring does'nt even match in thickness, and looks like a cheapo. Butt looks well made, i like it.

I believe the markings may not be original to the cue and may in fact be the vestige of a re-wrap.

I like the cue as well. It does look well made. Certainly it is nice wood, and has very classic styling. A good shaft and a could make this a serious cue I think.

I'm with ya there, it's a pretty piece of curly in the nose, and the buttsleeve fits my classic taste as well.
 
Well, I like the look of it. I'm tempted to make a bid, my birthday is coming up after all!

But then I think of the look on my wife's face when another cue shows up in the mail.........I think I will pass!
 
I sold the batch of 17 that this was a part of. I'm pretty sure it was not made by Mottey, or anyone else of note, but think it would be pretty cool if it was. I think Freddie might be right. Good luck!
