WTB Black Boar shaft.Must have proof it's a BB

Pure BS. Nothing like someone telling me or you Pook about what they know about shafts. About squat.
They might know more about squat but playability no way. You gotta be able to play to do that.
Two players. Boat loads of nut jobs. If you can't play unlike teaching you can't expound on playability.
Sorry, no means no,
Nick :)

So because you consider yourself a "player" you think you're an authority on something that's as subjective as a cue's playability?

Seems legit.

Nick Serdula: certified true pool player and cue playability rater guy.

Riiigghhhttt.

One day I will be able to buy a Rolex and a nice cue! Then I may be able to learn to play! Baahaahaa

There will never be anyone like him. If you never met him or seen the shop you'll never get what I'm saying. And it's useless to try to tell ya. He's in a class of his own and many are missing out. His cues, his shafts, his time, & his talks are worth any price IMO

Eric great offering and well worth the price most people will never know what BB is all about

I informed the posted where to get a BB shaft. Shadowmoss then posted up a BB shaft. No authentification needed.
WTF you other posters are spewing is conjecture and off topic. You want the best it is not cheap.
It will be signed and that as a Rambo signature is worth double what anything without a signature would be. It will never be subject to conjecture of any value.
Enjoyed helping. If you do not have a Black Boar shaft for sale you are lost and far from home posting on this thread. An opinion section is available. This is not it.
Eric I guess I am going to start saving up. Can I have 10/10 or 1/10?
Nick Serdula.

Shadowmoss only has the ferruleless shaft.I prefer ivory ferrule.
Thanks,
BR,Marc

My wife and I spent a few hours in his shop with him some years back and I tend to agree.

+1.......Tony's at the head of the class and earned it.

He is very good for sure! Now where is an extra black boar shaft with ivory ferrule? Seems Bobco729 had one!

In a nut-shell, demand vs availability.

As in all cues, particularly BB cues, people are looking for the quality of build, playability, etc. Tony is extremely selective of his shaft wood and very, very meticulous in his production techniques. It is easy to tell when you are looking at an intricate cue butt, but much harder when examining a shaft, but it is there. The quality of the wood, the precision of the construction, the way the shaft snugs up to the BB butt, etc.

Why does a Szamboti, Searing, Hercek, etc cost what they do? Quality is always in demand, and it always costs.
Joe

No offense Joe, but this is a crock of crap. While I will agree that Tony does an excellent job, there is no amout of hyperbole on the planet that would make me believe that he's doing anything that a lot of other top cuemakers can't.

Do you really believe that he is the only one that is that selective when it comes to shaft wood? If so, I think you're drinking a little too much of the coolaid. Additionally the mention of "the way the shaft snugs up to the BB butt" makes you look naive. Any cuemaker with quality lathes are capable of facing off a joint or matching the compression fit. Your statement makes it seem as if you believe that Tony is the only one who can buy quality equipment and knows how to use it. From what I know of you, that isn't the case.

Honestly, all the BB hype is overkill. I'm not stating that Tony isn't one of the top cuemakers that has ever lived. I'm simply stating that he isn't doing anything that a lot of other cue makers can't. The fact that some people keep acting like he can is getting a bit tiring. I'm sorry that there are a lot of people that do not have enough knowledge that they believe all the hype, but please...... Enough is enough!

Like him or hate him, he is the BEST of the BEST !!!

I love Black Boar cues, never met Tony but heard only good things about him. I've hit with a few of his cues and they all had a fantastic hit except one of them but I think maybe the taper had been messed with or something. Tony makes some of the most beautiful cues on the planet, that's for sure.

If all the naysayers had the chance to sit down with Tony over a few vodkas and talk cues, they would know.

Monstermash

When something is not in your Universe it is beyond you. Tony's work is so very far out of your Universe his work beguins where others like the guy you build cues with ends.
The boat load is being spread by you.
There is no explaining it. But explaining this to you is much like explaining photodedridation of quinomes 5th graders.
Nick :)

I agree...many cuemakers COULD do the same level of work, they just won't push to that level.

BTW, I LOVE PFD Cues. Some of the very nicest cues that I have owned over the years were PFDs...wish I had one in particular back.

How about that game last night? Did I forget to mention...

ROLL TIDE!!!!

AZB at it's best

Take a simple thread, looking for a shaft and turn it in to cue maker bashing tournament. What is wrong with you people.

Eric

I bet

I bet $ no one can duplicate Tonys biggest cue to date!! BET!!

Don't Fing talk about it, be about it, call your cue maker of choice. It must look the same,or better to win! I wanna see this. All the time I hear others can do it,others can do it, well why The F haven't they? Show me? Only thing close I've ever seen Is a Manzino and that's different level too

When you get away from your diamonds ,dots, notched diamonds ,propellers call me. Even Tonys diamonds look better cause they are from only pure materials with no flaws and tolerances that are top notch. I'm done, just stop talking about what your guy can do and ask him to do it and prove to the world they can do what Tony does I wanna see we the world has yet to see

What does building a bigger cue than Tony have to do with this thread?

The OP is looking for a Black Boar shaft. Someone offered a skinny $600 shaft. The OP said Tony will not make a shaft. He needs the whole nine yards to get a shaft.
