I didn't make anything known to AZ. I made it known to Wedge and he decided to make it public.
If that would resolve anything I'd be all for it. Not that I want to beat him up or get beat up by him but I'd be happy to not have him making disparaging and slanderous comments whenever he feels like it. It's clear to me that he has no fear whatsover of being sanctioned by Mr. Wilson so perhaps this is my pennance for past transgressions of my own. Joe and I have "made up" many times and each time he has resumed the attacks within weeks of shaking my hand and playing nice. I just have come to understand that he is the way he is for whatever reasons that are personal to him. Kind of like having a permanent fixture that is annoying but can be lived with.

The rest is a reply to Joe.
Yes Joe, just because I have an opinion does not make it true. However I usually back up my opinions with evidence when I can. When it comes to cases I generally have plenty of evidence to support my statements.
Yes, I suppose that is why I nominated the Goulet/Justis case as my personal nomination. From our 2012 production I nominated Jamie Wernsman's case which I knew going in wasn't going to stand a chance against the heavily tooled Meltons and Quiverz, Justis and Armor cases.
This is why I actively asked people to nominate cases and made sure that Armor put another case in.
For someone so obsessed I sure did a poor job of getting more of our work in the list and a very poor job of getting votes. In fact I didn't try at all to get votes and was pleased to get five of them.
I could have asked my customers to put in their JB Cases. But no one was asked to do that. I could have asked for votes but not a single request was made. Pretty poor job for someone so obsessed with "winning" wouldn't you agree?
I don't despise Jack at all. He was my friend. Now he isn't. I don't really agree with a lot of what he does and says but that's life. I do despise and pity you however because you advocate the murder of ten million people in order to provide others with work. That sort of disregard for human life is completely opposite of what I believe in. I also despise you because of the way you relentlessly lie and slander me, my business and my family. But I do understand that you have your own issues to deal with that make you the way you are so I also forgive you for being the way you are.
I suppose I should have been more on the job and put in these cases for the contest.
Maybe in a few rooms. But I have traveled the country and Instroke has sold well more than 10x the amount of cases as Justis and most people can't name the brand on sight. Justis cases are actually rare "in the wild" and most pool rooms only have a few people who own one if any. Maybe YOU can spot a Haley or Szamboti from across the room but MOST people in a pool room couldn't tell you the brand of cue on sight if you gave them five guesses.
AZB is a bubble. The people who come here every day and who hang out in the cue gallery are very up to speed on what's what. People who don't hang out here all the time are not up to speed on the latest and greatest cue and case designs. I know this because I actually went around to hundreds of pool rooms around the world and talked to people about our cases.
Well Joe, again we aren't trying to be cookie cutter and tied to one profile.
Although I don't recall seeing anyone but us doing cases like this? This is my original model, 100% designed by me.
His current cases certainly have an unmistakeable flavor. But the early cases we very similar to JEF cases and Swift cases. In any event it doesn't matter because the appearance of a case is not an "industry standard" and your use of it does not get the point across instead it denigrates all the other fine case makers out there who don't use the Flowers/Swift look, like Whitten, Turcasso, Garth Bair and so on.
Really? Go back and read the first post. It was a simple note on a positive rep.
But beyond that let's keep focus here. I would have preferred to never know that Wedge was begging for votes. Obviously some others were not happy about it and that's how I became aware of it. I had let it go until I saw the over-the-top marketing using the Case of the Year win. I am sorry but this just struck me the wrong way and I let Wedge know it. I can only guess that he feels guilty or something for "stuffing the ballot" box otherwise he wouldn't have made sure that everyone now knows he did it. I was content to simply let him know that I was aware of it and leave it at that.
That's more your style.
Why? Why should I let it go when I think a person not only gamed the system to push his case to a position it might not have reached on it's own and who then uses that position to rub everyone's face in it by trying to charge far more than the case is worth? I mean it's not like I made a public comment about it. I merely made a snarky comment to Wedge IN PRIVATE and left it at that. Sorry that it bothers you when I take a stand on something. Apparently only you are allowed to do that.

Am I still going to get the beer you promised me in PM? But no, Joe not only missed the nail he hit himself in the head with his rubber hammer.
