Is there a possibility we could get Dennis O
in a TAR match against SVB under the same conditions as
SVB and Dechaine ? I'd like to see if Dennis could outrun Shane's break and firepower

I too would love to see Dennis and SVB play under the same conditions as the last TAR match. As well as SVB played, it would still be tough for me to bet on him against Dennis.

I think it would be an epic match considering how well Shane
played in the last TAR match.

Three disciplines

I liked the format for SVB and Orcullo. Amazing that Orcullo beat Shane in 1 pocket!

And I would like to see Pagulayan play Orcullo. After spanking Scott, Pagulayan should be considered a top world 1-pocket player (he was already I guess).

So Pagulayan versus Orcullo, 10-ball, 1-pocket, and whatever else they want to play.

But would they play each other straight up, or would they split because they are friends?

But they are the best in the world right now, outside of Taiwan, and 1-pocket is a worthy game for TAR.

Justin -- I am sure you have no interest in seeing Dennis and Shane on TAR again (LOL).. any potential? It appears he (Dennis) is scheduled to be in the country for awhile (maybe through Tunica)...

My vote would be the old school race to 100 / standard table / wooden rack (see SVB / Alex 2008).. Bring back the TAR Pit and get it OOONNNNN!

Just askin'

This would also be cool. I'd still wonder how the same format would have turned out though.
Playem both lol

I would buy that!

Dennis leaves the US after Reno and will be back in June. We will probably do something around that time.

I agree, get these guys in a race to 100, those 25 game sets are for the weak minded. Only SVB, Dennis, Alex, and a few others can fade the race to 100. Everyone says its a mental contest with the race to 100. It might be, but thats what makes pool exciting, the mental side and how the players take the heat. This is why dechanie likes the short races, he folds like a cheap suit.

Great!! figures as that is when ultimate 10 ball and Tunica get going..

I hope you can make it happen...

If Dennis and Shane play on the current table, 9 ball with the Magic Rack, the over and under on break and runs could be as high as eight. It would not surprise me to see Dennis run a 10 with a cut break and pattern racking. I don't think Shane has any real chance against Dennis in 9 ball with the magic rack in a long race.

10 Ball on the current table with the Magic Rack, race to 100, we would probably see a six or seven pack. I like Shane. I think it would be a close match but Shane has the better power break in 10 ball - the best in the world.

He lost to Dennis on the last TAR table because his break wasn't working. Dennis can beat Shane when Shane's break isn't working and so can several players. But I don't think anybody can beat his 50% + break and runs in 10 ball when his break is working and his break seems to work fine on the current TAR table.

Dennis and Shane, 10 ball, magic rack, race to 100 on the current TAR table - that would be the optimal match up.

If SVB and Orcullo play? I think Dennis wins. Dennis is in Shanes head and I don't think Shane will beat him. As far as Dennis and Alex playing I also, like Dennis in 9 ball and 10 ball and Alex in one pocket.

I'm with the rest of the crowd that wants to see Shane/Dennis on this table.

I can honestly say I was "fortunate" to be on here when the announcement was made that day 2 of the Shane/Mike had been uploaded without Justin's consent.

I decided to watch some while my meds kicked in,thinking it would be 45 min to an hour at most.

Danmed if I didn't wind up watching the whole match, because 10 ball at that high of a performance level is just too good to pass up .

By his own admission and according to his standards,Mike played bad.

To this impartial observer,he didn't play bad at ALL.

He had 2 3 packs.

He had to run out every time, because Shane didn't make it easy and leave him simple,Average Joe outs. Some of those outs were tricky enough only someone of his approximate speed could have got there

It's not like Mike missed a ball every game either,to the best of my memory,he only missed maybe 4 balls a player of his caliber is supposed to make, and one of those is that almost straight-in miss on the 8.

Altogether,he made 6-7 unforced errors that I counted,in a race to 27,10 ball,on THAT Diamond. Maybe those of you that play on Diamonds regularly might think that 4 1/2" pockets are buckets. They are NOT.

That's still world-class speed if you broke it down like Accu-Stats.

Even if he got out every time he could have, and the balls didn't cooperate on the break,he'd have still not gotten to 20.

Shane took a completely world-class pro and made it look like he needed signifigant weight.

Putting Shane and Dennis on the same table, with the same conditions might yield the best pool ANYONE has ever seen.

It's gonna take someone like Dennis to beat Shane with him playing like that.

For all we know, either of them could beat the other that bad if they both aren't getting the same results off the break. Tommy D.
