How would you make it happen?

Wave your magic wand? Does this have anything to do with the big thing you are going to do for pool, cause we've all been waiting for it to happen. But I know you're broke now and usually when the cars, watches, house go, so do the connections and friends.

that would be VERY interesting, I say that because of a comment I heard @ breakfast at the M-Cup this past year. I wont repete what was said, I dont feel it was meant as a knock, it just was said-a hair out of line but not unforgivable.

On this topic, JCIN if you see this let me know, I'd like to help make this match happen. But thats up to you CJ and MD.

best

I'm sorry I thought you were the CJ Wiley that was the captain of the Mosconi Cup team.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to link CJ to the tournaments that the Mosconi Cup folks selected as points events and to any accusations of manipulating the points among the pros by dumping matches to allow some to gain needed points.

After all CJ was selected as the captain in a surprise move when he really had nothing to do with them for over over 15 years.

I don't think that the guilt by association works in this case.

- John Matlock at your service :-)

P.S. Good to see your mind wasn't fried while the valves were blocked.

Okay richie, who is an underdog to CJ? Marquee player, that people would pay to watch? Who!?

IF he regains the passion to play at the highest level i'd put him at a tier of AMERICAN players just below SVB playing todays rules or in a very select group which includes MORRIS, ARCHER, DUELL, STRICKLAND, etc. I realize I've not included any of the youngins who have immense talent primarily because they havn't excelled on a national level for an extended time frame.

So are you leading as a Captain and refusing to cheat if you are a captain of a team that it was rumored more that players dumped to each other to gain admittance to the Mosconi Cup team moreso than one questionable pass in a ring game tournament by Shane McMinn?

Perry Mason at your service (who could give Matlock the 6 and the breaks)

apology excepted, thank you

Actually I just got a phone call that I was correct. You were there in 2007. That or someone forged your signature on a 2007 event flyer and wrote "2007" under it. I can get a picture of it if its a big deal but I don't think it is.

It doesn't really matter either way.

I am done helping you get views. Good luck on your future endeavors.

:-) I understand. But I guess the whole thing is stretching at best. As for burning bridges and all that well, bridge can be burnt and they can be rebuilt. Happens all the time. In my opinion one of the strongest human traits is the ability to forgive and reconcile differences.

Holding grudges and resentments is unhealthy. I know this personally.

Realistically who can CJ beat? Of all the marquee players out there, CJ is a big underdog.

I think an Earl vs CJ match would generate the most interest. I would pay to see that.

Earl is a big favorite.

Regardless of anyone's opinion on CJ in respect to things in this thread or others.....you can't claim that he can't beat anyone.

The man has played at a world class level before and could do so again with time and motivation.

Minus a select few on this forum, most posters here would kill for CJ's game.

See Lou, you're completely wrong about this. I don't hold any grudge against you. At all.

I think you are mean unneccesarily and libelous to certain people about certain topics but overall I think you a decent person. I have defended you in private conversation to others who have never met you and never care to meet you. I have met you and found you to be quite a nice guy to be around.

On the forum however you are not always that same person. You might think you are as many of us probably do but in fact you are not the same in real life as you are on here. In my opinion that is.

I very much doubt you would call Stan Shuffet a snake oil salesman to his face. I doubt you would tell CJ to his face that he is a purveyor of BS. Maybe you will now say that you would but I don't think so from the three times I have met you.

So no, I don't have any sort of grudge against you. But I do deeply want to play you some one pocket for real this time and see how I do. Not because I dislike you but because I do respect your game after all and wish to see if I can beat you after having learned a little more about one pocket since the last time we played and I fluked the win in the piddly two game set. And yes, I have needled you about it just to mess with you but I in NO WAY think that I was better than you then because of it. I just found to be a tiny bit of irony that the guy you mercilessly ridiculed for months prior was able to beat you at your game at all, even by getting lucky in a two game race.

Anyway, that's where I stand when it comes to you and me. At the end of the day I have been proven right on my stance on aiming systems so all the insults you dished out don't really matter. I trusted in the Force Lou and it came through.

I'm surprised it took you this long to show up. And you even made a little photoshop. How sweet.

You are wrong about Alex though. He could face shoot a nun on camera and still be my man.

Dude, if you get Alex to shoot a nun in the face on camera.....I'd buy that PPV.

He was once a world class pro. That was decades ago. Hasn't played in forever. Yes he can still play at a very high level, not high enough to compete with the elite. Disagree? Then who can he beat in a high stakes match?

I can see where CJ could very well beat about any American except for maybe the top 2 or 3 guys
CJ doesn't have to lose against any of them
Your talking about someone who matched up with Efren in Efrens day
He's matched up against most top pros already

Top pros of yesteryear

All of this talk about CJ brings up a memory of a very famous and dominating pool player who quit for several years - and tried to come back.

Mige Sigel had moderate success.

He was off the playing circuit for probably 10 years or so.
He made cue sticks and other things.

He played in one event in France and totally dominated for several matches - in fact he may have won the event.

In the US - he did real well in a couple of straight pool events - for a round or two and then could not keep that speed up.

The same in rotational games - even in the IPT 8-Ball.
Mike struggled in the US Open 9-Ball.

So - there is an edge that a player looses - and some may never get that 10% edge they used to have. Is it mental or physical - or both?

But it can be very tough to get back.

But on any given day, Sigel can still beat almost any player in a normal race. He would get clobbered in long races with the elite of today.

Just my .02.

He sure did 20 years ago! When was the last time you saw him play competitively? How can you possibly gauge his current game???

Take a look at AZ's top 30 men 2012. Who is CJ beating? Underdog to all.
And Earl too!

CJ ain't getting on TAR, that much seems certain as he supposedly burnt that bridge before it was even built not realizing where it was going to lead. I know there is debate between JCIN and CJ on this but one thing JCIN strikes me as if very honest and very blunt, I cannot imagine him making this up and I cannot fathom to see what he would gain by doing so.

One match I would love to see though in a battle of the older pros would be CJ vs Sigel. Sigel has been retired from pool for as long as CJ has, he has dabbled in the game in the last few years much like CJ (although with quite abit more success and firepower shown), and both him and CJ have their supporters and the action on the match would IMO be fairly even.

I would pay $50 in a heartbeat to see Sigel on TAR.

In fact Sigel vs Parica in a round robin 8-ball, 10-ball, and 1-pocket would be legendary and the action on such a match would be huge. I know I like Sigel but there are alot of people who think Parica has the best of it. Betting on such a match would be huge. Both guys are also almost the same age.

IMO he's beating quite a few out of the top 20 Americans
