you cannot move fast evough if you are sitting down, as a matter of fact i suggest you don't just stand but stay on the balls of your feet, when you have the lathe spinning, the router running, and the auto feed engaged, there are a lot of things that can happen and all of then are not good.
according to a couple customers of mine,
i must be laying down snoozing at the lathe
i stand, yeah it gets to my back, i live with it
but i'm afraid i could become too complacent sitting
complacency = mistake
I have an 1800 sq/ft shop and the only seat is behind the desk.
