Getting jerked around

During a tournament last night I notice one guy leaving alot of really mad losers in his wake. The guy had a very different stance and played real slow and his oponents were getting upset about it. He and I eventually play and I started off by making a joke, hey want to put some money on this match and he says, ohh, ohhh, now your talking, so he pulls out a five. We play and even though he looks like a total beginer with his style of play, he can run five or six balls and even make some really tough shots and banks. And I played him some really tough safe shots and he would hit two, three rails and hit the object ball.

I win the match and he says real loud, I have ten a game waiting for you after you finish the tournament. Later on we play for a few tens and twenties with me squeaking by each set by a game. So, he tells me he is out of cash but is a beef jerky saleman and has a van full of the stuff in the parking lot, so I am putting up cash against beef JERKY!!!!!! Now I have about a months supply of beef jerky.

Just creating fun at the pool hall.

What's the spot on jerky?

I want double barbecues to your spicy!

Congratulations on the hilarious score. Jerky won is twice as sweet as jerky earned.

Sounds like some tough action, and now you're all pumped up.
I remember the first time I sent a guy home busted and jerkyless, it was back in the 60's.
We didn't have all of this fancy boy jerky back then.
Last summer I was up in the hills fishing and there was this guy on the side of the road selling all types of jerky, he even had salmon jerky.
I asked jerky boy if he wanted to play some, he wanted too much weight, so I told him his salmon jerky sucked and left.

I dont gamble much anymore but a long time ago (in my twenties) I beat this guy in a weekly tourney on the winner side. Then we do $20 on the side when he catches me in the finals. I win and he takes second. We keep playing and I sqeaked by and took another $100 off him. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out the $20 he had, the $60 he had just won and said to follow him to his car. Looking back I probably shouldnt have gone out there but i was twice his size and nieve. Turns out he was a golf pro and he gives me his Scotty Cameron putter to hold onto until the tourney next week. I knew they were expensive but had no idea how much. $400 putter for a $40 bet? He showed and paid up and never I never got his action again.

That's really funny right there. Jerky. A month's worth of jerky for me would be lots less than one small package.

Some of the best eating I have ever had was about five years ago when a player who is also a deer hunter brought into the poolroom "deer jerky" he had made. He shared a bag of it with us. People were literally licking their fingers to get the last of the taste. Next, one of the regulars goes up to the guy and says, "I've got two goats. I'll give them both to you if you'll make jerky out of them and give one of them back to me." The deer hunter went for the deal. Try experiencing that in one of your big city pool rooms!

News travels fast. Somebody's been posting the pics to knock your action. I'd just as soon not mess with him.

Working on the third bag now.

Working on my third bag of hot and spicy BEEF JERKY, I was reading the responses to my post and now I have a chunk of it stuck half way up my nose from laughing so hard.

Ohhh, it burns, I better eat some ice cream so I wont have a problem later.

Remember Cheech and Chong, COME ON ICE CREAM, COME ON ICE CREAM.

Funny thread. And also BTW, the OP's user name is the best one ever.

Fatz

I was surprised that the name was not taken when I joined. I figured I should use a handle name like years ago with CB radios.

When I joined they made you answer questions to get in the forums. Wow, some of them were tough. I knew the answer but the spelling was probably off because they kept telling me it was the wrong answer. I remember a couple of wrong answers had to do with Earl Stricland, or Shane Van boening, I don't know of that spelling is correct now either.

Finally they asked the name Reyes used in Houston and I knew that one, so I used it.

You made me smile.
