shipping... would u ship a black boar worth 7.5k via ur local post office???

good luck to anybody to track this ...here is the tracking 350051881731

If you throw any tracking number into google it detects which company uses that style of number, and gives you a link to track that number on their site.

According to google, 350051881731 is a fedex tracking number. But the number doesn't work on their site.
Still, since it's in the fedex format, maybe you can get lucky by calling them...

You can get help from either the International Team or Tech Support.
Int’l Team: call 1.800.463.3339, say “operator” when the recording starts. Then “operator” again.
You will be offered a chance to press 1 for International Shipments.
Tech support: call 1.800.463.3339, say “operator”, then say “tech support”.

Good luck!

tkx for effort... but it's a dhl number... now u know what I mean??

sorry... but I think you didn't understand my question... my question was... would u ship a 7.5k cue via any sorts of transportation except express... even thou the buyer is taking the risks involved?? n the buyer requested it to be sent express???... I honestly don't think so

Ok.....any cue worth over 500 bucks should be shipped overnight express no matter what is my rule. People try to go cheap on shipping and then they complain about the service. There's not a whole lot of difference between priority and express once you start adding insurance. Less chance of anything happening if it has to keep moving to make next day guareentee

He want to blamé ME:eek:
the Cue is bullet proof packaged and for all they don't know Germany, The Post office is DHL here and he have the reciept from DHL with Pics and Express is ONLY for Documents outside from Europe, I shipped the fastest way with DHL from here and cost 90$, so no cheap shipping at my side.
When I'm in Thailand I can send express, yes because they is going to the German Customs first, maybe when your are have a Biz and a contract with DHL you can use Express but not private(ONLY Documents).
They say here in German the Package is to his destination Country and can not tracked now, NOT my rules and not my fault.
Just my 2 Cents,
Ralf

Finger pointing sure feels great, I'm sure. All I'm suggesting is that with $7.5K of your money at risk you might have wanted to take a little responsibility and be a little more clear about your preferences.

But here you are in the situation you are in. Whether you learn from it or not is your choice. If all you want is a bunch of folks to support you while you blame someone else, you have come to the right place.

Thanks

Kevin

Too much risk involved to NOT have insurance, in my opinion. Hopefully your cue arrives safely.

Several years back, I was dealing / collecting very high-end watches ($25k - $125k+),
mostly on Watchnet.com & TimeZone (alias was ChronoMeister).
I received watches from Europe to the tune of 3-4 per week, always by Fedex.
Everything I shipped (even in the USA) went by Fedex, with Tons of Insurance.
Never a problem, with flawless delivery, and on time (forgive the pun).

When buying, selling, trading Cues & Cases I use USPS Priority/Insured
Mail with only (1) unpleasant experience. Someone at the P.O. decided to throw a
large sharp object at MY box containing a beautiful 2x4 New York Case on it's way
to JimS (fellow AZ'er). HE filed the claim (per their rules) and received most or
all of his money back, but they kept the Case.
I have also shipped several Cues to Europe and Japan via USPS without a hitch.

Well, i m Not the seller, but: DHL is Not really in Time with their trackin Updates :-(
I got the Same Problem if i buy in the us. If ist is shipped, i cannot find the number on the DHL Site, sometimes it needs a week. But i told u, i will search every Day for u here from germany, maybe i can help from here faster ( also i will phone them if it is useful) . I hope, the shipment will go fast now, because both, seller and buyer are Friends from me,and it s not a funny situation....

lol... so who's fault is it??? mine ??? do you understand English ??? I requested in many emails... express only! if you had problems in shipping cause u don't have a company ... then u made a mistake and you should have told me and let me make the call!! I have many german friends that have compAnies and would have been easy to ship the cue in a proper way! I don't care if the packet is bullet proof! cause I doubt it will ever arrive! who must I complain to?? i was suppose to be informed of that nonsence n given the choice to make my own decision!

n it Bolocks that u need a company to ship express... anybody in the world can from anywhere to anywhere.....

that's not ur 2 cents...
it's ur 7500k + 2 cents

Give it time

But if you don't see it in a week or so, customs probably snagged it. If they contact you just go there and tell them it's not ivory. I had a buyer in China get away with that with an ivory joint/ferrule cue.

Pretty sure I would never risk that kind of cash on an overseas deal...no matter who the seller is. Just way too many anonymous hands on the package.

if customs get it then I'll know n it won't be an issue... but they haven't got it n that I've made sure of already

I'm sorry, but who in their right mind ships something with that kind of value in a way where it's not able to be tracked all the way to its destination?

So DHL cost $90... What would Fedex cost? $120? $150? Even if it cost $60 more than DHL, that works out to 0.8% of the purchase price. Pony up for a tracking number.

Whenever I sell something, and ship it to someone (and I've never sold anything close to this value), I want the tracking number for me as much as I want it for the purchaser. I want to be able to track the package and make sure that it's getting to its destination in a timely fashion, so a situation such as this doesn't come about.

If I was the purchaser, and I did specify how I wanted the item to be shipped, and it came a different way, I would be LIVID. Heck, I'm not going to be happy if VolturiCases doesn't get this cue very soon... Just think of the matching case that this cue could inspire... Stinkin' DHL might be robbing us of some good, solid case porn!

I know that in Germany there's two form of DHL service, one is a local postal service (that's where DHL originated from) and another is express courier service. If the tracking number you have is from DHL local postal service you can try using that tracking number with your local postal office. What's the name of your local post office? Give them a call or if they have a website just use this tracking number on their site.

For example when I have anything shipped from U.S via USPS Express International (which is the ONLY service I'd use) I track via USPS website but once it leaves the US I track via China Postals Courier which is EMS. Using USPS Express International it takes 7-10 days to get to me. Longest was 2 weeks. But that's for large items, for smaller items that goes by regular mail it takes 3-5 weeks...

9 out of 10 items becomes untraceable once it departs U.S soil, and 5 out of 10 items becomes untrackable or with no updates when it arrives at some sorting facility. I've learnt not to panic. I recently had a expensive mobley shipped to me the same way and item was untrackable for a good 7 days. I tracked via EMS and there it was but still it wasn't updated promptly and item stayed put in one location for 3 days..

DHL, FedEx and UPS do get items to me sooner BUT I always get stuck with customs, ALWAYS...so I've given up on them plus they're pricey. Most expensive for a cue was $200++ from NYC. Whilst USPS cost $60 after this year's price hike, used to be $40-45.

For now I suggest you give it a few more days cos your item requires transit as you're inland Indonesia if I'm not mistaken? And when there's transit it takes a few more days with postal service. At the same time you can try tracking via your local postal service.

If you buy insurance on a package with USPS and it's lost, you must show them a receipt for what you paid for it, and that's all you'll collect, no matter what it's really worth. They are also not quick to pay. They "investigate" the shipping route and claim. Our local postmaster tells me if your insured package gets lost, you're really a loser and your proof of insurance is just another ticket to nowhere.

I've had a 100% success rate using USPS Priority Mail service DOMESTICALLY! You can add insurance (and I do) and you have Delivery Confirmation with a Tracking Number. And you can ship a cue across country in 2-3 days for under $20! The U.S. Postal Service is still damn good, no matter what anyone says.

I just had a comparatively amazing thing happen using USPS. I sent a cue (older classic JW) to Shanghai using USPS First Class International Mail. I filled out the appropriate customs papers, took adequate insurance and sent it off. I had a tracking number and sent an e-mail to the buyer with all the information. This was on May 20th. Using UPS or Fedex would have cost a fortune. Using USPS it cost me just over $50. I told my buyer it should be in China in 8-10 days, but then it could easily take 2-3 weeks before it clears customs.

He sent me an e-mail yesterday (May 28th) telling me he got the cue and he loved it! Eight days to Shanghai from Los Angeles using the good old post office. How about that!

The fact of the matter is Fed X and UPS along with many other use the USPS for some of their packages. I do postal construction and I see their trucks there all the time
